For people using unblock-us ....

I found a free version, i'm not even sure what you call these things but it changes your ip address when you switch it on is it?

Anyway, its called Hotspot Shield.
It's free, very easy to use, and i've been using it for nearly 3 months now.... it's great.

The only downside is, there are pop ups every now and again...but its very safe.
Year... but how does it work on proper hardware devices, i.e. Roku, Apple TV, Smart TV's etc.... basically, when you want to watch a major release film, comfortably on the sofa and on the main television?

Their is another thread about free versions of unblock-us. I don't want ads, pop ups etc so £3 a month is fine.
Got my Apple TV set up with the DNS, Netflix USA and everything is great, thanks to the recommendations here.

So far watched all of Breaking Bad and nearly all of Prison Break. On UK Netflix only about 8 Anime titles, in US must be hundreds. Also my Apple TV has updated as if it was in US

Borderland (2007) has recently been added to Netflix, comes highly recommended from Rotten Tomatoes and gets a 100% critics rating. I'm watching it tonight, once the sun has gone down anyway!

A good way to keep track of the latest additions to Netflix is to keep an eye on this page here:

US Netflix - The Mooring. Think Eden lake on water and more disturbing because it involves teenagers not adults.

Well it does say later in 2013 and we're only half way through.
But if you can't wait you could always watch them on Denmark,Finland,Norway & Sweden by using Unblock-Us

Having skipped through this thread, I have come to the conclusion that it has nothing even worth watching for free, let alone paying for it.

Rubbish! I have had Netflix for a year now and I love it. Having the Unblock US to access other regions is a real bonus too but I am finding the UK site getting better. During the 12 months I have had Netflix I have seen all four seasons of Prison Break, all five seasons of Breaking Bad, three seasons of 24 and now watching their original series Orange Is The New Black which I am enjoying. Plus seen lots of films old and new as well. Excellent HD quality and dolby digital sound in some cases too.

Yeah pretty similar experience here too JEFF.I find the video quality is very good, after the first few seconds playing a title, any one else noticed that?

The first of the last half season episodes of Breaking Bad will start to be shown weekly on UKNF, directly after it's aired in the US starting on the 11th of August

That's done on purpose; it's called Adaptive Video Streaming (or something similar to that). It's so you can start watching the video instantly. To do that they start the video at a low resolution and gradually build it to the highest resolution over time as the buffer fills up.

I agree. They really can't like anything to come to this conclusion. I suppose they also expect all of the latest Hollywood blockbusters that are still being shown at the cinema to be there for £5.99 a month.

Yes, I agree entirely. Considering it's only £5.99 a month, Netflix is brilliant value for money. I know it doesn't have the latest Hollywood movies on there, but I've noticed lately that films seem to appear on there as soon as they've finished on Sky. For example, Captain America is on there now, as is Avengers Assemble (or at least it will be on there soon, according to the latest Empire magazine). I know a few Lionsgate films, like The Hunger Games and Magic Mike, have appeared on Netflix before Sky Movies. Besides, they've got lots of films on there, even if not all of them are straight from the cinema. That's not even scratching the surface of their TV series catalogue (arguably better than the film catalogue, in my opinion), and the amount of original series is steadily increasing.

When you consider that Sky Movies HD costs more than four times what Netflix does , I think that Netflix is amazing value for money.

Thanks for that pb.It doesn't bother me as it's literally only 2 or 3 seconds of playing time at the beginning each time.

I've seen so much quality stuff, on NF in the last year I rarely buy discs anymore. I'd imagine streaming like this will lead to the demise of large scale disc sales if that hasn't started to happened already?

Wouldn't surprise me if that does become the case in about a decade's time. I personally can't see discs going away just yet, however. I can see DVD being discontinued at some point a few years down the line, and perhaps Blu Ray as well a few years after that. Plus, by then, hopefully broadband speeds will have picked up, making this all-streaming future you speak of more realistic and viable.

If I had to guess I'd say streaming has already affected disc sales, unless I'm a one off but I can't see that being the case.Though the eventual demise of discs is a way off, as I already mentioned.Trends are usually slow starters are they not?

I was reading that the excellent Sky Atlantic produced drama Hit & Miss is now available on Netflix in the US. Well worth watching.

Interesting... how do you add a show to instant queue?

also, has your account also updated to allow profiles?

I also subscribe to Netflix via the UK, but I don't have Instant Que or profiles yet. It seems to be rolling slowly over to customers.

Nope no profiles yet, just noticed an instant queue section when I opened my iPhone app and a +instant queue check box when you select an item, it also shows it on my Wii too.
It looks as if it may be just be in the rolling out period (unless of coarse its just a glitch on my account and its not meant to be there) as although it does show an instant queue section, it doesn't show up any queued items as of yet.
When you open an item there will be a + instant queue box, this is what it looks like on iPhone http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8DD810E51D.jpg
