HTC Wildfire
Hi Guys,
I have an HTC Wildfire and it's about 14 month old, the thing is it keeps reverting back to 1980 and sometimes it switches off all by itself, to get it to get a signal I have to take the battery out and the sim card. gsj |

The phone should get an up-to-date date/time signal from the network. However, it should also retain the time on board. It might be that your SIM is a little knackered.
Phone wise... In a PC this would point to something like a motherboard battery failing. It could be that your phone's smaller internal battery on the main PCB has failed. I could be talking complete tosh here - I just presume that their will be some form of small secondary power source. Pester your provider for a replacement. Although it is older than a year, 2 months over warranty should be looked upon fairly favourably. |

HTC wildfire comes with a two year warrenty - at least that what it says in my booklet that came with the phone.
I was also told this by CPW when I signed up for a two year contract. |
