What is everyone's favourite and least favourite opening twist.

My least is probably between season 9 and its god awful love pairing up. Season 9 gets alot of slack, but it was really good after they ended that couple twist. Last years twist was no better, I mean the Golden Key twist was crap :yawn:

My favourite is DNA in season 5, altough six and four were also good twists.

Golden Key wasn't a bad idea, it was just massively unfair to the new players. In another season with all new players it would have worked, but with the returning players being paired with a loved one, but the newbies being paired with a virtual stranger, it just made it more adventageous for the newbies to abandon each other than to stick together.

I loved it at the time, and I loved Rachel as a winner, but last season was so corrupt. The newbies really shouldn't have bothered showing up in hindsight.

Yeah, I think Grodner ruined any remaining integrity the game had with her Pandora's Boxes nonsense. I doubt anybody will bother to play the game next year-no point if Grodner is going to stick her beak in and rig it anyway.

Best Opening twist: I liked the "secret pairs" of BB6.
Worst: America's Player (and the "enemies" twist- Carol owed Jessica 5 dollars?!?!Rivetting!)

Yes Rachel Would have not won last year if;-

1. Julie didn't mention the twist in week 5 (When Brendan returned). If she didnt tell them, Rachel would have been evicted because Kalia would have not put up Lawon, so it would have been Rachel vs Brendan to return, he would have thrown it for her :yawn:

2. She would have then been targeted the next week for sure with no Brendan back

3. That crappy pandora twist in week whenever when she was paired with Jordan? (She would have won POV and saved herself but Jordan would have been evicted then, so she would have no alliance at all.. granted if she would have lasted this long after return against Brendan)

4. Even if she made final 2, she might have lost because Brendan did not make Jury, Lawon did instead (Granted he was not in the final 2 with her )

So yeah, she might off still won, but it seems unlikely, she should be grateful it was rigged... however no denying she is a good physical player however she was very lucky last year.

I haven't seen too many seasons, but the whole mole twist, whilst great in theory completely backfired when Annie was evicted week one.

The Saboteur was hilarious. What was funniest about it was that BB made the whole thing so suspenseful - "who is the saboteur???" - only to reveal it to the viewers literally minutes before Annie's eviction.

I cracked up when they revealed it, since at that point it was a given that she was about to be evicted.

My favorite and least favorite twists were both BB5 - I hated the sibling twist (thought that was unusually gross of BB to force that on Cowboy and Nakomis), but the twin twist was great, especially the reveal.

I hated the BB8 America's Player twist for the fact that it screwed up Eric's dreams of playing BB, but I was totally engrossed in the drama it created for him. The enemies twist was ridiculous and a waste of screen time, though Joe and Dustin screaming at each other about gonorrhea was kind of entertaining.

Vets/newbies in BB13 sucked big time if you weren't a Jeff-Jordan fan.

I loved the BB10 twist. Oh right, there wasn't one.

Favorite twist:
Not really a twist but the change of rules from BB1 to BB2. Gave the whole season that first time feel again.

BB6 - Secret Pairs/ prize if a pair made it to the final would have increased.

Least liked twist:
BB9 - Pairs/Exes in the House/Couple in the House. Two twists recycled with a new spin. I loathe BB9 with a passion and often rate it lower than BB1.

This twist could have worked out in theory better with a different group however Jacob & Sharon made the Exes part worth it.

I also liked the Power Couple twist it was really aside from Sharon the only thing I liked because it shook up the format & structure of the game the Housemates were accustomed too.

Other twists:

BB13 - Golden Keys/Pairs - While this gets a lot of slack I have to admit when watching Week 1 back it really did its job. It brought back that element of "Expect The Unexpected" or as they say in the UK "Big Brother reserves the right to change the rules at anytime." The Housemates new and old had to redo their strategy of the game and think about the Keys and their impact. It was interesting seeing how the Housemates adapted to the Keys and how strategies changed. I thought initially they were unfair but when looking back in retrospect it was a good idea by having them during the Veterans/Newbies season. This way you got both sides of the coin like seeing how the Veterans would adapt and how would New Housemates would adapt. I would like to see more twists that bend the rules rather than casting twists.

BB6 - Secret Pairs - While this is my top favorite, Grodner lost out on potential here to really have a twist that effected the whole season. Not only could they have secret pairs and secret gold room they could have really played on the subtitle of "Summer of Secrets" and introduced many secret elements like secret missions that rewarded select Housemates. Just saying had huge potential not used to fullest.

BB8 - America's Player - In all honestly I would like to see Eric again just so he could play the game on his own accord but he was great at this task. I do think the producers should have restructured the episodes so that Nominations/Power of Veto competition played out on Sunday and have the Food Competition/Power of Veto Ceremony on Tuesday so America could vote on if he should use the veto or not. By having him automatically default to not to use it was a bad idea on their part and re-enforces the public's argument that the producers rig the game.

But this showed that the viewing public can vote in a way that they understand the game. I think that Big Brother should introduce a public "vote to evict" vote that should be cast alongside the Housemates votes. Reduce the jury to six members and allow the public to vote for the winner (as the seventh).
