Poor Choice! The album is not great with single choices as there's some bad songs there! So no wonder they went with Seven Nation Army.

I do think Don't Surrender is brilliant! though and would make the good single. Mercy will flop mark my words and that'll be the end of his career and the album won't have shifted much by then. Dont Surrender is the way to go....

I think releasing any product soon after the show ends is actually an advantage, sales wise. The performer is still in their fans' minds. Waiting a year can be disasterous even for the winner, as we've seen many times in the past.
