What do you mean Sim Free ?
A quick google of iPad and your model no shows it as a 3G + Wifi model. ie it will work in wifi mode and also gives you the option of adding a payg or contract sim if you wish |

As psionic says any MicroSim will do. I have bought a 3Gb/3 month expiry PAYG from "3" for 20 quid for my new iPad 3, they also do a 1 month deal but there are other offers out there too.

Could you put a normal micro sim from your phone and just use the data from that
