I'd agree with this. I watched series 4 of Irish apprentice where it was split into youth vs experiance - it wasn't obvious there which team was which at all.

The losing PM is fired 4 times out of 7 in the first week, and 35 times out of 70 over the first 10 tasks. So the first week is not an especially dangerous time to be PM.

I've always assumed that it was just an easy way to split the group in half. The alternative would be to split them by drawing lots or using some other random method.

just pick four of the boys, four of the girls, put them together, and the rest are together. Easy.
