The cast involved last night was very strong and it was well written. The storyline continues throughout next week too
so i think if it can stay very consistent and keep people talking ratings could go up a little more.

Mondays episode was up on Past Mondays
Tuesdays episode was up in share (and the BBC 3 figure was higher than it has been)

One thing im annoyed with is the trailing from the BBC
it seemed to have stopped and for somereason they are not traling EastEnders this week.

Tonights episode will fall below 8 million because not everyone (in the soap forum) seems to know it's on and i think Chelsea are playing live tonight too and also the BBC are not even promoting the fact it's on tonight at 7:30

I think Tomorrows episode might possibly get the highest episode of the week”

Am sure you said the same thing about last night's episode and yet it didn't even get past the 9 million mark, or were there lots of barbecues yesterday since it was a sunny day after all.

Its mostly women who watch soaps anyway so the football game tonight makes no difference on how Eastenders will rate, let's be clear on that right now.

There's plenty of Males that watch EastEnders on DS and most of my freinds/people at work also watch

The Football has ALWAYS Dented EastEnders and giving their Younger Demo thats not unsual. Please check your facts first

EDIT-What Decade are you in?
Your saying Women don't like football

This must be the second time in three years that the FA Cup semi-final weekend has clashed with the Grand National.

I predict 7.9 (34.1%) for tonights EastEnders
Out of it's slot. The BBC have not trailled tonights 7:30PM start and some of the Male fans might be watching the Football which starts at 7:00 (kick off 7:30)

I could name at least 30 MALE EastEnders fans from just on DS and that's not even taking the other soaps into account

The BBC should have run trailers for Each day 'EastEnders Tonight 7:30' with a short clip but sadly the Promotion seemed to have stopped before Mondays episode even aired
Thank you

Soap viewers are mostly women hand full of guys might watch, but overall its a very small amount. You got demo's to prove otherwise then?

I'm not saying women don't like football whatsoever besides the game is being played in Manchester not in London so won't affect the ratings, the only thing that will is because like you pointed out Eastenders is never on Wednesday's.

My comment isn't silly compared to the barbecues in January and February nonsense, you got any demo's of that by any chance.

It's still a Popular London team playing

I don't have the Demos to prove how many males watch the soaps/EastEnders but im sure RZT or DMN might have something

Pretty much the norm on Sky. There can be upto 1hr 45mins pre-match coverage on Champions League nights

Sweet Jesus get a life and stop being so ridicuosly defensive. It's annoying to read frankly.

I would hope Eastends gets a solid 8 millio+ rating although the football could conspire against that.

The Apprentice should do okay tonight but I can't help but feel that the Junior Apprentice may have knocked the shine off the whole brand. Still 7 million is around the ballmark I'm expecting. I don't expect it to be as big as prevus versions, the hype doesn't seem to be there due to the dominance of BGT and The Voice.

If I was a Sky subscriber, I would be wondering why its taken this long for them to air this amount of quality content.

Not an Excuse
Just a Fact.

1.EastEnders is out of it's slot
2.The BBC haven't promoted tonights 7:30PM slot
3.EastEnders is on against the football

And if they do have BBQ's out tonight they must be mad as it's freezing (well here anyway)

EDIT-The Last Wednesday episode of EastEnders was 23rd November(Branning Week) rating at 8.08m (35.6%) & 721k on BBC Three
Not far off my prediction for tonight really

I expect EE to be over 8m tonight, I think I predicted 8.6m but will be happy with 8.3m, it ought win the rating of the night easily - beating EM by a good 1 million. The Apprentice will rate 8m+ but the EE opposition is very poor from 7.30-8.00 - even though Russell Harty was great was he not?

The EE trails have been saying ''All week on BBC1'' which is equally misleading as there's no Friday episode so it's unlikely many viewers would have deduced from that there would be a Wednesday episode. And yet at virtually every programme junction we are now getting trails for The Voice.

US Ratings Tuesday March 20

With their original line-up back in place CBS claimed an easy victory on Tuesday night but it wasn't all sunshine and roses for the eye. NCIS was down to a season low after dropping two tenths vs. its last original episode. NCIS: LA was down three tenths at 9PM but Unforgettable was up two tenths.

Over on ABC Last Man Standing dropped to a season low but its return to original episodes helped drag Cougar Town up by two tenths. The River wrapped its season and no doubt series by climbing a tenth. Fox's comedy block continued its downward trend. Raising Hope and Teenage Daughter were both down two tenths to season lows and at 9PM New Girl was also at a season low. Breaking In ended Fox's night down two tenths at a season low.

In an unlikely turn of events NBC was up. Biggest Loser was up 5% averaging a 2.2 over two-hours and Fashion Star picked up 13% for its second episode so it might not be as dead as the first episode suggested.

I've not seen an EastEnders trailer since Monday But yes every Junction they have promoted The Voice and that new comedy/Drama about the people winning the lottery and very little else.

Surely it would be better for the BBC to Promote everything they can in order to get the best ratings possble

They should Do a special 'Wednesday night trailer'

EastEnders,Waterloo road,The Apprentice

Another fact - If people were that bothered they would make sure they never miss an episode. Other programmes have to cope with being up against something else and seem to manage fine.

EastEnders does usually cope well but alot of people even in the soap forums doesn't even know EastEnders is on tonight. Hence the fact i think Thursdays episode will be the most watched one of the week after last nights cliffhanger
Thank you
