EastEnders does usually cope well but alot of people even in the soap forums doesn't even know EastEnders is on tonight. Hence the fact i think Thursdays episode will be the most watched one of the week after last nights cliffhanger

What, even after the endless posts you seem to have started everywhere over DS
![]() I mentioned it here and in the episode thread (which i made tonight) I could mention it millions of times and wouldn't really make a differance UNLESS of course everyone on the soap forums has a BARB Box |

And if Eastenders aftermath episodes were that good the viewers wouldn't tune into the football tonight, can't even get over 9 million with the aftermath episode yesterday with little to no competition from any other channel.

plus the football is live, so people are more likely to watch it live over the pre recorded EastEnders.

Those ratings for Unforgettable seem OK. Have seen comments that it might be axed but surely 12 million at 10 pm is enough for a series 2?
As for Sky not naming its new service as Sky, but calling it Now TV - maybe they can relaunch it at Christmas as Sky Now and abbreviate to SNOW TV. ![]() And in case it has not been noted, Sky opened up their Anytime + service to all broadband suppliers yesterday with a totally soft launch (as in no publicity - presumably to avoid being swamped). So there are now many more ways to watch programming than before via Sky boxes. A cut down ITV player is there at launch with the full version and BBC i player coming soon. Anyone with another BB supplier just has to go on the Sky web site, change their package by adding Anytime + (it is free) and it will be on their box soon after. |

I see, thanks would never have noticed that.(not having Sky and all)
The Unforgettable programmes seemed to have underperformed in that slot, even without tough BBC1 competition, and no disrespect to the late Russell, but this one seems to be one of the least appealling editions. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the lowest rated of ITV1's Eastenders opponents this week. edit: ITV's Unforgettable not related to the American Unforgettable mentioned above ^^

ITV1 are showing The Unforgettable Russell Harty at 7.30. Cries of "who?" from everyone under 35..
Looks like I might have heard of him, had he not died in his 50s There is certainly no strong, non football competition tonight. how comes Thursday 5th April is all TBA on E4, when it should at least be a new episode of Big Bang Theory, and the continued repeat of HIMYM? |

Final (ish) schedules:
Thursday 5th April. * Fraud Squad starts at 9pm on ITV1. ![]() Quote:
Crimewatch was also a different programme to appear on a Tuesday, although I'm not sure what day the regular day for Crimewatch really is, it's different every month!

In general I think the BBC needs to be less afraid of pushing Panorama or the its subject matter for that week front and centre. Engage with the media on what they're covering and actually use the incredible resources available to the BBC to stir debate on the subject ahead of Panorama airing. They have a 24 hour news network, popular nightly news bulletins, a popular website, talk radio

In and of itself Unforgettable isn't rating that badly especially not for a new 10PM drama. The problem is that it airs on CBS and the bar for CBS is just much higher than everywhere else right now. I suspect Unforgettable will finish as CBS' lowest rated hour Monday-Thursday and probably their second or third lowest rated hour Sunday-Thursday. In fact even including the Friday shows it might not move beyond fourth or fifth. I'd be surprised if they renew it. They don't have the space. Quote:
As for Sky not naming its new service as Sky, but calling it Now TV - maybe they can relaunch it at Christmas as Sky Now and abbreviate to SNOW TV. Presumably the lack of Sky branding is to distance the service from Sky in the hope that the 'anti-Sky' brigade will be more receptive to it. And in the event that it fails it doesn't contaminate the Sky branding quite so much.
I'm still not entirely sure what they're thinking with Now TV though. The launch service appears to be just a stripped back version of Netflix and LoveFilm so its not entirely clear to me what the appeal is. The eventual addition of sports content and entertainment will obviously give it an edge but the battle may already be lost by then. I can't help but feel they're rushing this and the whole thing is launching without its USP. |

The BBC should have run trailers for Each day 'EastEnders Tonight 7:30' with a short clip but sadly the Promotion seemed to have stopped before Mondays episode even aired
