Good point. They're usually later on a regular Sunday, never mind changing the time.

Though I'm just greatful we get them at all

Yeah I'd put money on there being a ratings delay tomorrow. Always happens on the big days.

Safe to spend an extra hour in bed I think folks to make up for the hour lost.

Me neither! Although I'll be online just after 12 to see the 'instant analysis' and 'biggest spinner' or 'biggest flop' of last night's ratings.

But, to save people waiting...

BBC One
19:00 - The Voice: 7.7m (32.9%)

ITV1 (exc +1)
19:30 - Harry Hill’s TV Burp: 4.6m (20.0%)
20:00 - Britain's Got Talent: 9.0m (37.0%)

It's definitely the last one.

I will be tuning in, but against The Voice I wouldn't be surprised if Harry went out on a real low note, which would be a shame.

No it's not. But a very mild spring probably means a cool rainy summer, so it's swings and roundabouts really.

It has been quite extraordinary today for the time of year. Whilst it's far from an ideal day to be launching, The Voice is extremely fortunate that it's launching before BST begins and not after. 7pm could prove too early for some if the weather continues like this into next week.

Has anybody got the Gardeners world rating. I can't seem to find it.

My predictions:

The Voice- 8.1m (34%)
Britain's Got Talent- 8.6m (37%)

I think that due to the strong advertising (some must say over the top promotion), it will launch over 8m, but I am sure it will drop to around a 7m average across the run, while BGT will average around 9m+ (but that is still quite a lot down on previous series)

Harry Hill- 4.7m (including +1)
Take Me Out- 5.0m (including +1)

It'll be interesting how the shows around the big shows perform tonight. Winter Wipeout will be sub-4m I'm sure (why they didn't air them instead of Pointless Celebs I don't know!) and I'd expect In it to Win It to take a hit. Casualty will be hit slightly too - but is far enough out of the firing line to avoid any major drop.

We all expect TV Burp to suffer against The Voice and tonight's All Star Family Fortunes contestants are at the lower end of celebrity so I doubt will put up much of a fight, while Take Me Out may suffer from people recording and watching BGT after The Voice.

I think I'd have put Harry Hill at 6.50pm tonight, then Take Me Out at 7.20pm and BGT at 8.20pm, with Jonathan Ross at 9.40pm. That schedule would see at least see three of the four shows (Take Me Out being the possible exception) up on the ratings they'll probably get tonight.

I'm going to bed early to be up in time for the first dawn tweets.

Although not getting to bed til 5am last night might be part of the reason too

Any of you got any money resting on tonight's ratings battle?

Paddy Power were offering such poor odds on a BGT victory (surely a certainty) that I didn't bother in the end.

BGT 1/5 The Voice 10/3

Yep, Paddy Power were offering 8/1 last week for The Voice averaging 7m-8m or 8m+. Very favourable odds!

The Voice is already Trending on Twitter.
I fully expect nearly all the topics to be The Voice & BGT related tonight

Haven't got any money on it but I think The Voice could do very well. The promotion has been huge and relentless and the early reviews have generally been good (perhaps not as overwhelmingly positive as I expected but still good). The weather will be an issue though and might pull it back a little for the first 30 mins or so. BGT meanwhile has a better slot than The Voice but the 20 minute overlap will dent it a bit and TXF's decline last year could have a knock-on effect. Ultimately though, my predictions are:

The Voice: 7.5m
Britain's Got Talent: 9.2m

With about 4.5m for the final TV Burp and about 5.5m for Take Me Out (all ITV predictions include +1). Anyone else fancy making a few predictions?

I think the key factor tonight (or tomorrow) will be ITV's error in leaving the 15/20 minute overlap. It will most likely hand the BBC the PR victory especially when BGT is likely to see a decline from its equivalent episode last year (and I'm guessing that open the door to "lowest since 2007" kind fo headlines). The 15/20 minute overlap and general decline for ITV talent shows should see to that - the weather might not help as well although sunset is still quite early.

I think BGT will edge it on averages though I'll not be surprised if it's by a narrow margin or if it goes against them. Nonetheless, ITV and Syco tend to be hopeless at spinning ratings - so I'd expect the BBC to run away with the PR battle tomorrow and then ITV to release a limp statement on Monday afternoon saying they're pleased with the ratings!

I don't even think Cowell commenting on TV matters at this point - it's not as if it is short of publicity anyway and with the press launch it was inevitable that he would say something (and I see will.i.am is todays DS headline for his latest "attack" on Syco/XF/BGT). The perception is certainly that BGT is on the ropes and TV is the next big thing. ITV have definitely be flat footed here - that the Cowell/Walliams interview is airing an hour AFTER the premiere kind of sums it up.

I don't think something in the low to mid 6's is acceptable for The Voice, tbh. That's not to say that the show is dead if it only manages 6.5m, it may well get a second week bounce, but as a premiere rating it's rather average given the momentum just now. I'm not sure there's any realistic prospect of ITV getting a great outcome tomorrow (which I'd probably class as BGT being about level or up and TV under 7m) but if they can get 9m (exc +1) and hold a 1m lead then I think there will be some relief at least. Harry Hill will likely depart on a low note although that might not bother ITV too much! D.M.N's predictions would probably keep everyone happy (although the BBC would probably be happier with that than ITV).

The BBC have certainly won the mind games. But after weeks of build up, there will finally be a result tomorrow. Although I doubt that will be conclusive either! Sundays should be interesting on here for the next couple of months!

Very good bet. I would have been tempted myself with odds like that! Good luck for tonight, I think it'll be somewhere in that region.

I didn't think it would originally but I get the sense now TV will end up launching really well.

I still expect BGT to win it overall but I expect the gap won't be that large and I can certainly see TV winning when they're head to head.

I don't understand the logic of ITV's scheduling and next week is even worse as BGT is only an hour, meaning if The Voice really does take off then ITV are pretty screwed.

Yeah next week's scheduling is dismal. I can understand why they've had an overlap tonight as they've got a lot to fit in but they don't have that excuse next week. I don't see why it's so difficult for them to push it 20 mins later - do they really think starting All Star Family Fortunes at the same time as The Voice will dent TV? The Voice probably will win the overlap which should keep BBC1's PR department happy, whilst BGT will probably get a higher peak than TV giving ITV something to spin too. Tomorrow morning should be fun (as long as there aren't any delays...).

A lot of optimism for The Voice here (I am expecting 7.2m-7.8m average) the clash will damage the average slightly so maybe a 8m+ peak. For BGT I have gone higher (with a 9.1m-9.7m range) maybe a little too optimistic for the latter. I would like to see TV beat BGT, but I would be shocked if TV is even within 1m of BGT, but I would enjoy being shocked.

Excellent amount raised by SR last night, the ratings were down - there was a lot less comedy than people expected I bet and a few too many video appeals, which bring in the money but leave viewers feeling guilty/depressed/sad.

I'm looking forward to it. Not often we get a great ratings clash like this at this time of year.

I'm an ITV fanboy. I predict 5.5m (6.1m peak) for BGT and 9.5m (11m peak) for The Voice.

ITV1 just announced "Don't miss Harry Hill's TV Burp coming up in a hour" but no mention of "Last ever episode".
