Yes, I thought EE would have at least remained over 8m last night after the events of last week. I know the clocks have changed now but I still expected it to do better than that.

EE = upwardly mobile, sociable, outgoing, enjoy BBQs

Em/Coro = housebound, pensioners, infirm, unemployed, northern

If ITVistas can broad-brush about SCD and Countryfile, then so can I....

Worth noting that these are only the overnight figures. Mrs Brown was getting some huge timeshifts. The demos always look better for BBC1's biggest 'timeshifters' when catch-up is added.

Any ratings in for the Skins finale

So, when tape-checking programmes on commercial channels, do you discount the ad breaks?

No. Add breaks are only removed when BARB release the final consolidated figure.

I'd like to see demo breakdowns of some consolidated BBC shows.

And in other news the all new Gadget Show had its press launch today. Radio Times liked it.

Isn't that the worst of the series and it was the finale

That really is a pitiful rating. No wonder it's ending.

Worst of the series? that's by far the worst rating the show has ever had. And for a finale that is pathetic. Goes to show how much Generation 3 ruined a successful show.

C5 have struck a deal to air an extra series of CBB this Summer alongside the main series:

No big surprise, I think many were expecting this to happen.

Do my eyes deceive me, three positive responses out of four to the article! The sunshine clearly bringing out the best in MediaGuardian readers, lovely to see.

Not keen on this one at all though, especially as running them back-to-back last time worked out so badly. At least they've got them the right way round this time, leading with the weaker show. They'll probably time it so that CBB starts roughly the same time as it did last year and hope for the best. I suppose BB might be able to tap into an audience not interested in the sport that will dominate the summer schedules, but it's a high-risk strategy and it will look like overkill even though 14 weeks is about the same length as Big Brother alone on C4 in the later years of the show.

The bit about the cricket highlights is very old news, and really C5 should be looking to acquire more sports rights than that to fill the Europa gap. Boxing is all well and good but fights are few and far between at the moment.

US Ratings Monday March 26

The 'Super Monday' combination of The Voice and Smash was once again enough to power NBC to a comfortable Monday night victory but its not all sunshine and roses The Voice dropped two tenths vs. last week to a season low. At 10PM Smash was steady week-on-week.

Over on ABC Dancing with the Stars dropped four tenths on last weeks lowest ever opener. Its going to be a long season for ABC. On the plus side at 10PM Castle benefited from CBS' repeat slate and was up a tenth vs. last week. We'll see if that holds in the finals.

Fox's Alcatraz took its season (and series) bow by dropping a tenth for both hours vs. last weeks single episode. As mentioned above CBS were in repeats for the night and The CW (who you'd be forgiven for thinking had given up airing original content on Monday nights) went with a film.

On This Morning yesterday Holly and Phil congratulated each other over their respective weekend shows....The words The Voice were uttered for the first time on air (it has been euphemisms like 'That Other Thing' before)....to which Holly said - 'I now expect to be struck down by a thunderbolt' and Philip quipped it was more likely she might be struck down by Simon Cowell.

(paraphrasing a little here)

I heard about Cowell being confronted in his bathroom, by a woman with a brick. Could have been worse, she could have had two bricks.

EastEnders finished at 8.27pm last night, so if DS have chopped out the final five minutes, that rating is not wonderful.

According to Attentional, where DS get their figures from, it finished at 8.28pm. So it will include those final 5 minutes.

C5 are risking CBB overload. It can be hard enough getting good housemates for 1 celebrity edition a year, 2 will be even harder. At least they are keeping the main BB series quite short though

It's probably Attentional, I've noticed before their time-checks are not always accurate.

So are to we assume that the celebrity edition airs before the normal one or after the normal one?

Assuming late Summer is a start-date of 16th August, like last year, then ten weeks takes us back to 7th June. In theory, it could happen, but whether it is a good idea is another matter.

She does, erm... have two bricks.

Well at least we have an latest candidate for the stupidest scheduling award of 2012. Could have been 8pm on Sundays and swept up a good audience.
