It rated better than quite a few 6N's rugby matches (and at a lower cost too!).

And the contract is renewed at a lower value too.

There's better value for you, Robbie. Since you ask (but of course you know this already.............)

I guess it must be due to the fact that 3.3m watching football will have more 18-34 year old men than something like Scott and Bailey which gets 6m or so. A place for advertisers to get a larger male audience than other shows even though it rates lower than other things at 9pm through the week. Also, what else would get that rating on a Tuesday for ITV these days

A decent share for Eastenders. 38%-39% is exactly the sort of level EE should be hitting for the 7:30pm episodes so that is a good solid rating there. Holby City seemed to see a bit of a drop last night though - would normally expect to see around 23%-24% for Holby.

Emmerdale looks low but the share is fine. Football probably did alright considering both Sky and ESPN had bigger matches going on.

* 2011 overnight series average: 6.42m (24.37%)

22:00- Facejacker: 1.0m (5.4%) , +1: 244k (2.5%)”

Looks like the days of Gypsy Wedding as mega hitter have now passed (3m + is still good, but not mega). I expect it will be able to manage a 4m [exc +1] again but probably no more. They haven't really converted the lead-in to anything useful at all during the run, which is disappointing.

Does anyone have the ratings for "I Just Want My Pants Back", 10pm on MTV? They've been promoting it relentlessly on their channels for the last few weeks.

It will be interesting to see how much Mad Men goes up by in the officials.

I know overnight ratings are usually a lot less than the total audience for Sky Atlantic show, but even still, I am sure they would have hoped for more than what they got last night.

Too expensive. Pretty soon the BBC will spend its £3BILLION a year on just 6 Nations, The Voice, Wimbledon at its own management

It seems Gypsy Wedding has fallen down substantially compared to last year. Of course, still a relative 'hit' for Channel 4, but there may well be disappointment of how much it has dropped. Quite interesting actually, because it's one show they never actually over-exposed, a series in February and March 2011, two specials and a series in February and March 2012 is what you expect for most programmes. So compared to how little it has been over-exposed, they could be disappointed.

Although it may be because the rest of the media has over-exposed the 'gypsies' which doesn't make it as interesting TV as it was, even though I didn't watch it in the first place.

They are unbelievably low!! However, when you look at the BARB detail (only available on subscription) of Sky Atlantic it seems to be very unrepresentative of reality.

e.g. Cleverdicks gets similar overnights to the second edition of last night's Mad Men and some days it's most watched by the AB demo and other days by DE. Some days it has 0% of viewers in a whole age group.

It's very difficult to get good data if only 5-10 people in BARB homes are watching.

Amazed it was trending worldwide on Twitter last night.

Twitter trending is only a reflection of the genre of people who use it.
On the DOI final both Chico & Jorgie were trending - Matt wasn't.
People who think twitter is the B-all & end-all of public opinion then claimed there was no way Matt could win it.

Matt won it

Good stuff. I remember when it premiered a bit low people on here were too quick to call it a flop, as what actually happened over the coming weeks was it locked in a very loyal audience and even grew in the last few weeks to end on a high of 1.6m.

Now obviously it wasn't quite the hit it's proved to be in other countries, but for an entertainment show on C5 it was at the top end of what they normally get. And amongst those who actually watched it, very highly rated as one of the best examples of this genre of TV.

Casting for series 2 will be difficult as Gavin Henson was perfect for the show.

Almost identical skews really, apart from ABC1s which BBC1 normally have automatically higher than ITV1 anyway.

Very interesting to see how popular The Voice UK was in the non-English regions, it had really good shares in Scotland, Ulster, Wales - quite unusual for a BBC1 show. In fact, it had more viewers than BGT in Scotland and Wales - I can see why it was that popular in Wales (Tom Jones factor) but can't quite work out why it was so popular in Scotland (and why BGT is relatively unpopular up there!?). The Voice did best in the West of England with 46.7% share (comfortably beating BGT share-wise there...and in viewers) but did worst in the South West of England - dont have a clue why there was such a big share difference between the West and South West which are so close in location, but there you go! Britain's Got Talent rated best in the little 'Border' region and was very popular in the Northern parts of England and Ulster. They're not as keen on it in Scotland and the West of England though.”

Where are our "regulars" located?

Glenn is in Border so his Cowell hating must make him pretty unpopular up there. Robbie is in the North West - again another BGT hotspot. I'm in South & SE, so we look to be right on the national average!

It would be interesting to see how one of the BBC Sunday night staples do by region - Countryfile or Antiques Roadshow?

but X-Factor was asking him to censor his musical & creative geninus, and as an artist, he could never do that.

On C5 however, he is making TV shows, not music, really who else is going to give him a TV show? Sky Living?

Unfortunately the show is extremely repetitive. Once you've seen a couple of episodes of Gypsy Weddings you've really seen them all. The show just seems to tread over old ground without offering anything particularly new. They got great mileage out of it for one series but surely most people saw this coming? It did seem to run out of steam quite quickly.

Is he now? Do enlighten me then since you seem to be more in the know than I, what projects have been greenlit by C5 starring Mr Cocozza?

According to a brief scan of his incredibly dull twitter page he last filmed a pilot for ITV (Wossy's Trending Topics) and also had a show on MTV.

I always figured he would get a Channel 5 show after Big Brother.
