They seem to be rather short episodes of EastEnders this week. I might be imagining things, but the credits seem to be extended this week, to make up for some of the shortfall.

BBC One had another steady night. Big Fat Gypsy Weddings has taken a tumble but is still performing respectably. The football on ITV1 was squeezed by the competition but it still did better than most flopzone material and the audience would've been favourable.
It looks like ITV1 have admitted defeat with The Voice and are looking to save Lemonaid instead. I can't see it doing well there, though. It's far too early.
But haven't the previous Easter Sunday episodes been 'specials' rather than a normal epsiode - a trip to London, a trip to Blackpool etc.?

With regards to BBC 1 Monday at 9 pm it was the last episode of the excellent 'Story of Wales' from Huw Edwards. This has certainly gone down well here and aired instead of Empire each week.
The last one was followed by a making of special and a debate after the news as to how good/bad it was....so there was a themed BBC 1 night on Monday here.
I know it will have only modestly effected the figures for 9 - 10 pm but I suspect there was a good BBC 1 Welsh percentage during that hour at least.
They announced, by the way, that the six part series will get a UK wide airing shortly (BBC 2 I assume). Well worth a look when it does as it seems to have quite a bit of money and looked lavish. Shame it was not HD though as the panoramic scenes would have looked great. But knowing the BBC they probably filmed it in HD and simply never bothered to air it that way until everyone has seen it.

Cleverdicks has not been delivering the goods either ( I think Sky Atlantic and Splash Media needed someone like former Thames TV newsreader Robin Houston who has experience in presenting quiz shows to host Cleverdicks rather than hiring flavour of the month Anne Widdecombe, who has no experience in quiz shows or presenting, and has ended up making Mick and Samantha at the 1989 Brits look good), otherwise Sky Atlantic wouldn't have needed to drop the 7am edition for Seinfeld repeats.
If that's happened, it doesn't abode well for the other showings at 12pm and 7pm, as seen with Shortland Street on Living after it's morning edition was axed. You can bet your bottom dollar Sky Atlantic will drop the evening edition soon and put Voyager or Next Generation there and shunt Cleverdicks to lunchtime only.

I always assumed after the ridiculous rating for the original Cutting Edge documentary that would be the route it would go as couldn't imagine people watching gypsies in massive wedding dresses week after week. That's obviously so 2011 though!

I don't really get why More4 kept the Global Edition. It's alone in the schedule and although the Daily Show was the sort of thing More4 should be doing, it never rated particularly well and I expect the weekly edition has even less viewers.

I think the point of previous Easter episodes is that they're self contained to a point so casual viewers can get into them and it doesn't overly matter if regular viewers miss the episode.

A solid night for BBC1. EE did OK and obviously less number of people watching TV last night as the share was fine. Again same with Emmerdale, although it did record its lowest rating of the year so far. No surprise considering the mini heatwave we're having right now. The Syndicate did very well securing 5.2m, especially considering HC wasn't as strong last night. BFGW hasn't done no way near as good as last year and the hype seems to have gone after just one series despite it still been good for Channel 4.
Moving on the the multichannel ratings, Touch did well with almost 600k whilst Alcatraz is falling fast with just 360k. Can't see that episdoe topping 1m in the officials. And it doesn't deserve to either cos its rubbish! Ratings for Mad Men look very low - but I'm not sure what it used to bring in on BBC3. More than than I'm guessing!
3.3 million wasn't stellar for the football last night, but considerably better than what ITV1 would have achieved for shows like The Biggest Loser( apt name for the flopzone). Next year on Tuesdays 22 nights on my calculations will be devoted to the ECL and the FA Cup replays, plus possibly any England friendlies or qualifiers. This will, should teams like Man U get into the ECL knockout stages or have a cup replay against someone like Liverpool, guarantee at least 5 million viewers.
Also with Corrie out of the way on Thursdays, should Liverpool do really well in the Europa League, then it could be payday on these nights and a guaranteed anti Corrie audience of young men and ABC1s.

From the figures I've seen Cleverdicks is performing well in the 7pm slot and its 'performance index' is very high.
The midday showings are getting roughly the same as the 7pm slot was getting the week before Cleverdicks started.

Sounds a bit like Neighbours in the old days, where an episode would begin with the continuation of the final scene of the previous episode, with the occasional bonus of a character vanishing from the scene between the end of one episode and the start of the next episode.
Looks like Channel 4 aren't that stupid. They've changed the schedule and giving Celebrity Deal or No Deal an 8pm slot on Easter Sunday. With the lead-in to Homeland. They're keeping the 7pm Saturday night slot for the show but they're airing Sunday's regular episode but they're repeating that on Easter Sunday in their normal Sunday afternoon slot.

I never could comprehend the huge ratings for BFGW. Nine miilion? FFS!
Nice to see it fall down to more sensible levels. Pity it didn't drop to Channel-4-comedy levels.The Syndicate's audience struck me as decent until I saw how poorly Holby City did, and then I became more impressed. Holby, though, needs to buck up its ideas. Just over 5m last week against a repeat of Homes From Hell. Poor. Its overnights include River City in Scotland. Does that perform better or worse than Holby City does in the rest of the UK?
And Mad Men was on BBC4. A bit too highbrow for BBC3 methinks.

Not sure what the average age for DOI's audience is - at a guess, somewhere in the 50s. TMO is most likely mid to high 30s.

ITV Evening News is most popular in the North West and least popular in the West of England (it gets thrashed about 4 to 1 there by the BBC). What is interesting is that although between 6-6.30pm, ITV had more viewers than BBC1 in Border and Scotland, BBC1 actually beat ITV1 in those two regions during 6.30-7pm (the Border audience in particular collapsed from ITV Regional to ITV Evening News). Also quite interesting is that at 6.30-7pm, ITV went in the other direction in the North West region, beating BBC1 in that half an hour even though BBC1 beat ITV1 in the North West during 6-6.30pm.
Between 6.30-7pm, viewers in the South West of England watched the most news, with a combined BBC1+ITV1 share of 56.5%. As with the half an hour beforehand, viewers in London watched the least with a 35.2% combined share of the two channels.

Looking at DigiGuide, starting from Easter weekend the Eastenders Omnibus seems to be moving to a late night slot on Friday:

It looks like viewers in the South West and Westcountry have completely rejected the new news super region (though isnt it true that especially the South West was always one where the BBC completely dominated) .
London is low, but even the BBC regional news is relatively low, suggesting that its more of a London issue.
The midlands rating is the big shock. If i remember rightly in the days of Central South and Central News East, they used to always advertise the fact that they were the areas number one news programmes (im not sure about Central News West). To go from that situation, to a situation where the BBC gets double the viewers. Again seems to show that viewers are not happy with the super regions.
Saying that, low ratings means that ITV can go to ofcom and claim that there is no market for them to show regional news.
If anyone has them, it would be interesting to see the regional breakdowns for The One Show and Emmerdale to see what impact the lead ins have on the start of the prime time programme block.
