Really? The ability to project a 15" image onto a wall in a completely dark room.

I don't see that as a good thing if I'm honest, in fact I can see it being absolutely bloody infuriating.

“Bigger screen”

I don't think the Nexus S 4.65" screen is big enough, I need a tablet which is actually a phone!

“barometer assisted GPS”

Apart from giving you pressure data/altitude data, how does this benefit the end user? A professional mountain climber isn't going to get his Android phone out on the side of a mountain, he'll use dedicated GPS.

I think the OP is right to be honest. There's nothing groundbreaking out there. All that seems to be happening at the moment are phones are getting ridiculously large screens and more processing power (which you have to wonder why, but thats another story).

Well if YOU don't like these features we had best tell the companies to shut down development

The list was to demonstrate innovation is still happening but like all things they take time. I wonder what the op is expecting from his 2012 phone????

And where did I say that? I merely said that of the innovations that are happening are either not something I'd look for in a phone, or pointing out that this country is not prepared for them.

Whether or not I like the features is not the point.

In all honesty though, what more do we need? As long as phone's support the latest connection protocols, manufacturers can only bump performance and cameras.

Phone's can play 3D games, word process, surf the internet, play music, record HD video, play HD video. What can you do on a PC for example that you can't on a phone?

People have had Android phones hooked up to monitors/keyboards/mice!
