I just bought a Humax HDR Fox-T2, does anyone know if there's any way that I can I transfer the stored programs from my old Humax PVR 9300T to the new box? All help greatfully recieved.

You'd get a much better response if you post this in the Humax forum.

Remove the disk from the 9300 and attach it to a PC, perhaps using a SATA to USB converter. Use humaxrw (see http://humaxdisk.wikispaces.com/HumaxRW) to copy the .ts files off to a PC. You can then play them from a USB drive attached to the HDR or use FTP to place them on the HDR drive.

You might find the discussion in this thread interesting. As you've realised, the 9300 was not designed with the intention of exporting data, so the workarounds are a little involved and probably not for everyone.

I'd use a DVD Recorder to archive anything I wanted to have longterm rather than rely on a Hard Disc.

That's a non-technical solution, provided you're not in a hurry.
