He was my dad's favourite singer in 1983 and had a number on with Wherever I Lay My Hat That's My Home. He also sang the first line of Do They Know It's Christmas.

Seems to have vanished from the recording scene and I have vague memories of him on Hell's Kitchen and Celebrity Master Chef.

Anyone know any more? He had a great white soul voice.

I saw him on one of those 80s Here and Now tours - he was abysmal!!!!

I believe when people went to see him on tour, they didn't go again and as these reports from his last attempt at touring prove, nothing's changed.
