Why were VWS fans booing them?

Just a quick question. Voices With Soul had a big noisy crowd of supporters on Saturday, but why did they make very loud booing noises? Clearly I'm not getting something, but watching the TV it sounded as if they really didn't like them, and I think that would have a negative affect on voting for them.

Rudi, I wondered the same until I saw the members of her family were supposedly 'booing'. What they were actually saying was 'Boooooom' as in 'you're the bomb' - kind of an american thing I think.

No-one quote me on this though!! There's no reason anyone should boo 'em cos I think they're great.... BOOOOOOM!!!!

Just to clarify a bit in previous post there before anyone questions it, I know they're not American hehe

I quite like them too, but if I was a big fan I'd be annoyed at the booing.

Acceptable cheears include, yay, woohoo, yeeeesss, etc. Generally high pitched, loud and enthusiastic sounding.

Traditional ways of showing dislike usually involve low pitched noises.

For example at any sports or theatre event, whether it's football, Wimbledon or a pantomime, it is automatic, and natural, to go high pitched when cheering and low pitched when disapproving.
