I've just bought a brand new LG 50" Plasma, but I can't adjust the volume using my Sky+ remote.
How can I make my telly obey the remote ?

You need to input the code for your TV, check on the Sky website under support for instructions and codes.

On the sky remote press:

TV
Red and select together until LED flashed twice
Press 0206 (LED should flash twice)
Check volume
Press Sky

you have to shout REALLY HARD at it ..... or that other thing too

it does help if you can't get the damn thing to go, or you forget in your rage to press the select button to set it

I've just got sky and would rather it didn't control my telly - how can I turn it off? The installation guy just did it and left before I realised.

Follow the instructions above, use the code 999, this will reset the remote back to factory settings.
