That's kind of tough to say because she doesn't a whole lot of hits really too much to be called an icon but I think based on her sales she's the best selling artist so far of the 21st century and her contribution to pop culture being huge back in her heyday so maybe yes she's an icon but not a legend yet if gets an album that brings her back to her haydays of 1998-2004 then yes it's gonna bring her to legend status as it is she's already at her icon status!! But I know the album sales won't be high but at least get the people talking about it big time!!

There are such things as commas and full stops.

Punctuation is just as important as letters when writing in English. You shouldn't just leave it out because it can drastically change what you're saying, let alone make it far easier for us to read and actually focus on the topic at hand.

Not intending to be a "Grammar Nazi", just putting it out there.

Most people look at what you write and think "AHHHH f*ck it". It takes effort to read essays, then without punctuation it's like reading a different language. Just sayin'.

Anyway, Britney will be remembered by Generation Y and Z, and that's about it. Her fans'll stay, and casual listeners from here on in won't bat an eyelid.

Britney Spears IS a pop music legend, but it's clear that her current level of energy/personality is sabotaging her a little bit for today's generation. She has made a massive impact on the music/ video/ performance scene throughout her career, and her music is still popular and current.
If she started her career with the performing/personality standard she has today she wouldn't get far. In saying that though, her early impact and achievements are no less as amazing.

RE Grammar: Punctuation, capitalisation, and spelling ARE important considering you are presenting your argument via written words only. I read your threads and comments as if it's a teenager talking rapidly, and normally have to reread them several times. I'm not saying it needs to be perfect, but it would be nice if you worked at it.

Not only do you not use punctuation, you leave out whole words in your posts, which detracts from what you're trying to say and portrays a bad impression of your level of literacy.

Honestly, if you have the time to create all of these threads, you have the time to reread the drivel that you write to see if it's legible or not.

The contents of the posts you produce are rather interesting sometimes, it's a shame you don't see the need to be considerate of others when you try to communicate with them.

I'd answer the question if I could understand the opening post. Let me try and work it out....

That's kind of tough to say because she doesn't have a whole lot of hits, so it's too much to be called an icon. I think based on her sales she's the best selling artist so far of the 21st century and her contribution to pop culture being huge back in her heyday... So maybe yes, she's an icon but not a legend.

If she gets an album that brings her back to the heyday of 1998-2004 it's gonna bring her to legend status, as it is she's already at her icon status. I know the album sales won't be high, but at least get the people talking about it big time.
There, now I can read it better.

I don't know the answer to the question and I have no opinion. But at least I can read it.

it depends... one of the best ever bubblegum pop?.. yes.

Thats it. She doesnt have much credibility, her voice is average, doesnt write any songs, and she caters to younger audiences. You dont see her at the Grammys (she got 1 award for best dance recording). She wont be appearing in any rock hall of fames or anything.

Surely isn't the best-selling artist of the 21st century Eminem? He sold more than her in the 00's, and he was much bigger in 2010 than Britney was in 2011.

I can't understand a word of the OP, a little punctuation wouldn't hurt....And what exactly are you asking? Britney IS one of the best. Whether you like her or not she's had a meteoric impact on the music and showbiz industries.
