I am so excited for Azealia Banks album!

I have the upmost anticipation and eagerness for this girl's new album!

She is unbelievably fresh and unique, particularly original which is certainly missing with a lot of artists these days.

I mean, she could have easily gone down the Nicki Minaj route, and done pop, but she has maintained her root's whilst still creating mainstream music (I like Nicki by the way).

If you haven't heard of her, here is her single 212:

Oh my lord yes...i mean i am so so so hyped/excited for MDNA the most more than any album ever (and that is really the truth!). And besides Born To Die (the other debut that i was/am..and love so excited for!) Azealia is the other debut i am hyped for!

I love 212 and heard the new song Bambi (i think she has filmed a video for it too) is a KILLER! I love it. What i love is..she isnt so Hip Hop it is dull/generic or underwhelming...it has a fresh sound/spark about it.

I lvoe that about her, i lvoe her image too, very old skool but fun and contemporary...i reckon she is gonna have a massive future too...cannot wait to hear what she has cooked up for her debut album this year...do you know when it will be out at all, tried searching and cannot find a date anywhere yet.

Yeah i am. BTW I wouldn't say Nicki's gone pop, she's only had big success with 2 pop orientated songs (super bass and starships) and SB wasn't even meant to be a single, but it took off after Taylor swift and selena gomez were liking it and all their fans went mad for it. Such a shame none of her hip hop tracks went top 10, they were really good.

If it produces more songs like 212 then I can't wait. I am so seriously obsessed with 212

212 is my favourite song this year so far. I've heard a few of her other songs and I am obsessed. I think she's amazing.

It's not out till September though as far as I know the title is Broke With Expensive Taste

Haha that's a good title! And I feel the exact same way, 212 is my favourite of the year so far

she can sing, but most of the time she isn't actually singing, but making noises....

Saw her on the NME awards tour and to be honest wasn't impressed.

If they want to make her into a big chart star there will need to be alot of cleaning up of lyrics, or maybe a big explicit lyrics sticker on the album.

Oh and some of her t-shirts on sale would not be appropriate for the average chart pop music fan to wear!

Lil Kim/Missy elliot/MC Lyte anyone? No need to change her IMO. It works for her, female MCs are hardly polite in rapping content...Missy was so dirrrty!
They have clean radio edits so it matters not.

HARLEM! Uptown baby.

212 was out for a little while then blew up out of nowhere.. maybe NY Fashion Week gave it that extra push but if she gets extra famous over a real NY club song about her puss getting eaten out it will be hilarious.

Liqourice is also great little follow up to 212.

fans of her should listen to Theophilus London.
he's been puttin in work and putting out fantastic music for a few years now.

Does she need to say the C word? Seriously? I mean i swear..a lot! But i never use the C word.

always makes me laugh when people call it the 'c word' when small children aren't about.

the backing track of 212 is by lazy jay not azealia - it's an old song she rapped over, but she made it 100% better.

i'm a massive fan, she seems genuinely new and different,, and so i excitedly look forward to her future releases. 'liquorice' and 'bambi' are also currently rocking my world.
