People who prefer cheese over chocolate? Why?
I like cheese its nice but chocolate is a much nicer treat. Can't understand people who prefer cheese, is it an age thing?

I used to have one hell of a sweet tooth but it's all about the cheese these days. I can't get enough of the stuff.

I think it's an age thing IMO. Years ago I loved chocolate/deserts etc. I also liked cheese, now however at 53 I much prefer to have a selection of cheese & pickles/chutneys/mustards. It might also be a female/age thing as it doesn't stop my husband devouring any boxes of chocolates my daughter might bring home to share! I don't even look at the chocolates. I don't eat cakes now either as I prefer vegetable crisps etc.

People have different tastes, not that hard to understand. I don't see why you can't enjoy both though.

I've gone off chocolate now but i love really strong cheese although it makes me sweat underneath my eyes, which seems a bit weird.

I don't mind a little chocolate but I find I can only eat so much. I could eat cheese all day.

I never used to have a sweet tooth but loved cheese, so I would always choose cheese over chocolate. I acquired the sweet tooth I think in my mid twenties, and will always choose the chocolate fondant over the cheese board at dessert time at a restaurant. I do still like cheese a lot though.

I don't think it's an age thing, it's just that some people have different tastes. I can go months on end without wanting chocolate. I do get an occasional craving for it, but usually only ever when I have PMT, and only then a few times a year. I quite like sweets, but I LOVE cheese and savoury nibble things, and I can't imagine ever giving up cheese! Cheese is so versatile - you can melt it into sauces, or put it in sandwiches, melt it on pizzas or top of pasta bakes, and you can just nibble away at it with crackers and pickles. Om nom nom! I honestly don't care if I never eat chocolate again.

I am not too fond on chocolate, but cheese is so much more appealing. Nothing, at the moment, get my mouth watering like a pack of Dairylea cheese triangles. They are so creamy and delish like nothing else.

Don't like chocolate and haven't ever done so, even as a child, I just don't have a sweet tooth. I don't like puddings either, I'd rather have fruit.
I love cheese and crackers though, it's my diet downfall |

DIfferent people like different things - I don't really think that's all that difficult to understand.
If we all liked the same things there'd only be one type of food and one type of drink in the whole world. |

Totally agree! I've always preferred savoury nibbles. I'd rather have a cheese board and oatcakes/crackers over a sweet dessert. I love breadsticks and dips and crisps.

Chocolate is something I tend to have on its own, cheese I tend to have with port. I also made some onion marmalade that went well with crisps and cheese, chocolate doesn't have the same versatility. |

I used to love chocolate as a kid/teenager, since hitting 20 though I only like it very occasionally, and my tastes have moved towards more savoury snacks (such as cheese). I think I read once that tastebuds change/die off as you get older and cause you to enjoy different things, don't know if it's true though.
