Connect Toshiba 46TL838B to Mac
Afternoon All
I really am sorry to have to bother you all again with my lack of technical ability, as some of you will know I bought the above TV this week and I'm trying to set it up to how I had my old TV. I used to connect my Macbook to the old TV with the Mini DVI-HDMI, but this TV doesn't display the picture. The Macbook changes to a blue screen for a second or two (as it used to when it was connecting to an external display) but nothing happens on the TV, I've tried going into system preferences on the macbook to set up the TV but when I hit the detect displays nothing happens it's like neither the TV nor the Macbook as aware of the connection. I have tried changing the HDMI port and HDMI lead to see if this helped but nothing. I've also read the TV manual and it says the connection via HDMI is compatible. Tried calling Toshiba, they're closed. Any help much appreciated. |

Use the "input select" button ( its like a arrow pointing into a circle ) to manually select the HDMI socket you have you PC connected to , it may tale a few seconds for the TV to handshake then set the screen resolution that you want from the PC .

I knew to do that. Nothing happens, just a black screen...
Thanks for taking the time to comment though. |

Hi All
Just really a bump, I still have the same problem and Toshiba haven't a clue. They just said there's nothing wrong with the TV if you want to connect an Apple product ask Apple. Helpful. Can anyone help? |
