It's A Yes From Me - horse 50% owned by Simon Cowell and 50% by Ant & Dec bought earlier this year. Cowell wanted to call the horse Simon.
I think the animal is a 2-y-o and hasn't seen a racecourse yet. |

Kalaglow, high class 4yo who won the 1982 Eclipse and King George. His name was derived by combining that of his sire Kalamoun and his dam Aglow but it was later discovered his pedigree had been incorrectly registered and he was actually out of a mare named Rossiter.

Ouagadougou - capital of Burkina Faso and a colt by Prized foaled 2000 with career earnings of $289,598.
(In case the subject should ever crop up in conversation Ouagadougou has the highest percentage of vowels in its name (72.7%) of any of the world's capital cities.) |

Qualifiers - eligibility for the Pertemps Final is surprisingly lax.
All you need is a horse aged 5 or over that started in a Pertemps Qualifier in the current season (irrespective of where it finished) or was eliminated from a qualifier by means of weight, or was entered to run in a qualifier that was subsequently abandoned, or was intended to run in a qualifier but the trainer forgot to enter it. (I made that last one up.) |
