Foinavon - originally owned by Anne, Duchess of Westminster who named him after a Scottish mountain found close by the Arkle peak that inspired the name of another of her horses.

Imperial Stakes, a relatively minor 2yo race at Sandown which Mill Reef won in 1970 beating a filly name Hecla who would later be the second mare he covered at stud.
King Zog - American colt foaled 2007.
The real Zog was King of Albania from 1928-1939. Sadly, William & Kate have missed a great opportunity to call their son Zog in tribute to such a great name.

Beat Rainbow Quest a neck in the 1985 renewal but was thrown out by the stewards for twice bumping RQ when neck & neck in the final furlong.
Owned by the ever popular Daniel Wildenstein who was in a minority of 1 in disagreeing with the ruling.
Vacarme - beat Creag-an-Sgor a length in the 1983 Richmond Stakes but thrown out by the stewards for bumping several other horses in the final furlong.
Owned by the ever forgiving Daniel Wildenstein who sacked jockey Lester Piggott shortly afterwards.
