Specify a neck winner of the 1971 National owned by Sir Fred Pontin of Pontins holiday camps. He wanted to change the horse's name to Specify Pontins but Jockey Club rules prevented horses being renamed after they were three-years-old.

Unsinkable Boxer - staying hurdler trained by Martin Pipe.

In 1997/1998 improved by 54lb to a mark of 148 over 5 races culminating in good wins at Cheltenham and Liverpool.

Gee-A - won the Mildmay of Flete Handicap Chase (now the Byrne Group Plate) at the 1987 Cheltenham Festival.

Ridden by Gee Armytage for owner/trainer G A Hubbard (after whom the horse was named).

Not quoted, a now defunct practice whereby on-course bookmakers would accept bets at odds offered by backers. Cure-All and Pioneer were consecutive winners of the 1845 & 1846 Nationals at 'not quoted' odds.
