Edward VII - owned 1909 Derby winner Minoru.

There is also a horse racing game called Minoru which predates Totopoly by 28 years. It would appear to be slightly more primitive than its illustrious competitor.

Forfeit Stage when entries for a race can be confirmed or withdrawn. Sadly Danedream will be amongst the latter in today's forfeit stage for the Arc following an outbreak of a serious equine virus in Cologne which means all horses based there are now in quarantine.

Gosden John whose leading Arc contender Nathaniel has joined Snow Fairy and Danedream as a non-runner. After running a temperature tests revealed his blood was not right.

With three of the first four in the market now absent perhaps Ballydoyle will run Camelot.

Mystiko - 1991 2,000 Guineas winner for owner Lady Beaverbrook.

Lady Beaverbrook (1909-1994) was in the habit of giving her horses 1-word 7-letter names (e.g. Bustino, Relkino, Niniski, Petoski).

This construction seems to have been popular amongst Derby winners in her racing era but sadly it didn't help her win one.
