Both teams seem determined to give away as many points as possible through penalties

Any team that doesn't give away 6,7,8,9 or more kickable penalties in a game is going to beat either of these........

The margin was flattering for Wales. Gatland really is taking them down a blind alley. Even Scotland are playing with more creativity. At least Mike Philips justified someone else starting.

Well done England

England only had 5 penalty kicks...
Can anyone else kick better than Halfpenny?

Good win for England, pity about the narrow loss to France.
Still they look like the most consistent team this year.

Well-done England; Wales was comprehensively outplayed there no doubt.

Hope we beat Scotland anyway

Deserved Triple Crown, England now need to beat Italy and see what transpires in Paris

Triple ♕ and possibly the Championship if France can get their act together next week.

Agree that if anything we were lucky to only lose by 11. Well played England. Very strong performance.

A hatrick would've been a bit greedy anyway.

At least will be less stressed next weekend. Still fancy Ireland, but can now genuinely say may the best team win.

Well done England! - a good solid performance that was along the lines of Ireland's win v Wales in Dublin ... As I said Ireland and England are by far and away the best teams in the Championship - hopefully Ireland are just a bit better in Paris

I still think it's Ireland's year though - they're so quick and skilful this year.

Shame Burrell didn't score towards the end, great tackle from Halfpenny almost knocking himself out.

I do feel that the first tie-breaker should be results between the teams rather than points difference.

Reading this thread makes you realize what great sportsmanship there seems to be among rugby fans. It's just a shame other sports fans aren't the same.

I love your optimism - I'm already nervous for next week in Paris we haven't beat France in Paris in 14 years so a victory would be an incredible result.

Don't think that would be fair due to home advantage. Unless you come up with some complicated formula to take account of away points.

Gaitland's Wales have been rumbled by the top 3 SH nations (1 win in 24 matches) & it seems that Ireland & England have finally cottoned on how to play them.

Its perfect the way it is and is fair to everyone no matter who is playing home or away.

Go go go! Yeah tradition is against you there, but pfft, traditions don't last forever, do they!

It's been great watching Ireland this year as it all seems to tick away like clockwork - very slick.

Priestland kicked away too much ball, Wales dropped the ball at crucial moments, England took almost all their chances and things are looking good in the long-term at last for Lancaster

When a young centre burst onto the scene with a hat-trick of tries. Wonder what happened to him?

Ireland have won once in Paris since 1972 so history is against them, but history means nothing in a one-off game against a horribly misfiring French team

That's exactly how I feel. Wales has developed very little in eighteen months really, whereas the two top teams have sped on and developed the patterns to succeed.

It's like Wales is the static old antibiotic... with all the bacterial organisms developing resistance to it!
^^^ I'm not saying Ireland and England are bacteria btw!

France in Paris are unpredictable buggers - they can turn on the style and run from the back causing mayhem - we have often went there and after 20 minutes could be 15-20 points down before we even realise what's going on.... I do hope that Brian O'Driscoll goes out with a bang though - he deserves a second championship for his many years of service to the team.

It's not fair that teams play an unequal amount of home games and away games but we live with that on the basis that it evens itself out over a 2 year cycle..
