Priestland kicked away too much ball, Wales dropped the ball at crucial moments, England took almost all their chances and things are looking good in the long-term at last for Lancaster
Jamie Roberts dropped a massive clanger near the end... silly elementary errors.

That's exactly how I feel. Wales has developed very little in eighteen months really, whereas the two top teams have sped on and developed the patterns to succeed.

It's like Wales is the static old antibiotic... with all the bacterial organisms developing resistance to it!
^^^ I'm not saying Ireland and England are bacteria btw!
Wales need to play to their strengths, give the ball to their back three and not kick the ball endlessly and badly

Definitely. Not everything worked but you can see they're trying to play more rugby and the rewards will hopefully come. As they said on the TV, the whole side is trying to get involved instead of just leaving it to a few to do all the creative work. Just need to stop giving stupid penalties away, though a worse kicker than Halfpenny wouldn't have converted all of those chances today.

When a young centre burst onto the scene with a hat-trick of tries. Wonder what happened to him?
Ah the memories - I was 9 years of age and it was that match that cemented my love for the game ... that was an incredible performance from the man and the team ... Go on just one more look at it

France in Paris are unpredictable buggers - they can turn on the style and run from the back causing mayhem - we have often went there and after 20 minutes could be 15-20 points down before we even realise what's going on.... I do hope that Brian O'Driscoll goes out with a bang though - he deserves a second championship for his many years of service to the team.
Oh don't start!!, I'm having this earache all weekend. O/h is a mahoosive O'Driscoll fan and has been rabbiting on and on and on about him, and was actually on the verge of tears yesterday with all that emotional farewell stuff.

France are really dangerous in exactly the way you describe - Ireland's got to go in all guns blazing.

ETA: O'Driscoll is pretty awesome though

First rule must be no intercept passes to the only French back in the vicinity

It shows how things have changed under Lancaster that England were looking to play more attacking rugby than Wales, when for the last 10 years its been very much the other way round.

Good show by England. Really should be going to Rome to collect a deserved Grand Slam, I still can't quite fathom how France won that game

Wales were awful, it really has been a championship to forget for them.

Roll on next week, completely in Ireland's hands now. I'd be furious if we couldn't put away this French team they've been horrendous, I really can't see them suddenly coming good in a week

In part due to England's overall tackling, line speed and commitment.

Losing that game might be a blessing in disguise for England - the way they have reacted since then has been superb. Its all about building up for the World Cup, so winning the 6N next year is more important, as its a real confidence booster leading into the WC

Mike Catt a better attack coach than Brian Smith, or we are now playing with that quick ball we never seemed to get when John Wells was forward coach

I do feel that the first tie-breaker should be results between the teams rather than points difference.
I actually agree with this.

In an ideal world you could do bonus points but with the home/away matches it wouldn't be the fairest method

Winning a championship with 6 teams on points difference just isn't the same but of course I'll take it, especially with our return in the past 14 years.

We've been victims of losing on PD enough!

Best Irish player of his generation by a distance - and that's coming from a Munster man

Paris match impossible to predict because who knows what French team will turn up (if at all)

Lancaster sings Catt's praises, but I guess the whole mentality comes down from the head coach - he got slated a lot by parts of the press for bringing in so many young players, buts its really starting to play dividends as he is molding the young players into the type of team players he wants

It's early days but England will have a superb chance of winning a home WC the way they're going imo

Those hanging restarts are excellent. Don't know why we don't see that tactic a bit more at XV a side.

He almost seemed to save his special moments for the match v England, so I was glad they kept him relatively quiet this time around.

Think that's an outdated cliche at this stage, this French team looks a shambles.

When was the last time they even played half decent in the 6n. Probably three years ago tbh vs Wales

And the 'attitude problems' of the 2011 World Cup are usually conspicuous by their absence (bar Farrell's niggly moments)

Ireland need to get early points on the board, then the French crowd will turn on their own team and the shambles will become a rout
