A very proud day to be Irish - a privilege to watch that man lift the trophy.

I wonder if Phillips will play much again for Wales, he had poor half to go with previous poor 6N showings. Time for the new generation?

I have always championed James Hook, he has natural flair, handling and kicking skills, it's just Warren Gatland has a blind spot when it comes to Hook. Do hope he saw that wonderfully adept off-load to North, then the kick through that made the try, and he's a trusted kicker. How he rates Priestland above him is beyond belief. |

Wales do need a strong pair of half backs. The game is controlled from those positions and none of the present selections do that, and Phillips slow delivery is a real problem.

I enjoyed the game today, though was obviously one-sided. Was enough to get us 3rd place, and above France yay

I see many on social media are berating Steve Walsh ....... probably loads of England supporters.
I love his ref style, particularly that last decision about the forward pass, the TMO was ummming and ahhhing and in the end Walsh said he saw it on the big screen and made the decision ...... the correct one. It's always a flowing game with him and he's not 'whistle happy'. The French try should have gone to the TMO, especially when most try decisions are referred if there is an iota of doubt. In the end thankfullu it made no difference. Phew!! |

I completely agree re. Rhys Priestland - so overrated but is somehow Gatland's golden boy.
