29-15 - I asked for a statement to world rugby ... that was a statement and more! ... absolutely fantastic. I'm telling you there is something special about this team.

Well done to the Irish and Scots on 2 strong wins.

Don't Wales always just lose to the Aussies - a real hoodoo!

Have to catch the England highlights tomorrow.

With 18 injuries to the squad too. It just shows how good a coach Schmidt is (and it's a decent bunch of players too)

At this rate, we could have a very competitive 6 Nations.

Looks like the home nations could put up a decent showing at the RWC next year too.

Were either of the France or Italy matches on TV today?

Well done Scotland and Ireland

I make that 2-2 for this weekend

Disappointed yet again Wales couldn't hold on against Australia, they always seem to do us in the last few minutes every time

Spirited performance from England, but New Zealand just too good in the end

I actually think with stadiums full of Irish fans, players returning from injury and with Schmidt on song we will go far, very far in the WC. This will be all but a home WC for us and I think we will make it count.

Schmidt certainly looks the best coach we've ever had. Won the 6 Nations at his first attempt, should have beaten NZ last year and now toppled SA with a severely under strength team.

Was the drowning out of the Haka disrespectful?

There's two ways of looking at it. One argument would say that it is indeed disrespectful but another would say that there's no particular reason the England players and fans should allow themselves be intimidated by the Haka and simply listen to it in silence.

If we lose to France though it's NZ in a quarter and that's goodnight anyway sadly.

Bar the win this year vs the French we've an awful awful record against them including two batterings in the World Cup in the last 11 years.

While Ireland are in great form NZ England SA Australia and arguably France are more likely World Cup winners.

Hopefully Ireland put up a good 6n though I can't look past England to win a slam like they really should have done this year

You'd fancy Ireland to win the other 4 though you can never write off France

I agree with your points and I have seen a number of different responses by the Wallabies over the years after they have (respectfully) faced a Haka.

But for spectators on both sides who were perhaps looking forward to seeing and enjoying the spectacle that is the Haka "live" (some perhaps for the first time), I thought it was disrespectful by elements of the crowd to drown it out with some dirge.

I suppose yet another argument would say that it displays an inferiority complex if they feel the need to drown out the Haka.

The coaches have a bit to work on there as Wales' decision making is often poor in the last period. I don't know if it fatigue or less than optimal mental toughness.

As ever, the put in to the scrums was awful, the first one went in at 45 degrees! But hardly ever penalised (unlike lineouts).

I was at Twickenham not a big fan of drowning out the haka would love to hear it in full. Stadium atmosphere was a bit flat I thought.

The worst behaviour was the booing of Richie McCaw as he made his speech at the end. Really not something im impressed with.

As for England they played a great game first half then decided to change it in the second half to something ludicrous.

Interesting to see the difference in attitude between the England and Wales camp. England talked about wanting to beat the All Blacks and win all four of their Autumn matches. They also talked about wining the World Cup. Some will no doubt sneer at their 'arrogance', but it's that self-belief and confidence which is required to win big matches.

Meanwhile, Wales talked about winning two of their Autumn matches and getting out of the group stage of the World Cup. I know there's a need to be realistic, but we continue to set the bar low and then bang our heads on it.

As it stands I can't see Wales getting out of that group but I feel sorry for ye. Wales are better than Samoa on every planet, very unlucky the draw was made 2 years ago (beggars belief) when Samoa just happened to sneak in the top 8 for a bit

Then again ye are due a win v Aus at some stage!!!

Ye're riddled by injuries in fairness

Very impressed by Attwood. Ye're not stuck for quality second rows that's for sure.

If ye get ye're full 15 on the pitch ye can beat anyone (especially at home)

D Armitage

Yarde Tuilagi Burgess Ashton

Cipriani Dickson

Corbs Youngs Cole

Parling Launchbury

Croft S Armitage Haskell

That's a team that didn't feature at all Sat for various reasons in individual cases

That team itself would give the world cup a serious rattle

With Ireland due to play Georgia,
Should the Six Nations play matches more against the tier 2 Europe nations? Georgia, Romania, Russia, Spain and Portugal?
