We're starting with two props whom have very little international experience. As with all Gatland coached games, he'll want to get a headstart at the set piece before we start throwing the ball around. We haven't lost to Italy under Gatland and Edwards but we have been defeated away there in the past.I'm not counting any chickens just yet!!

This is the sort of game wales lose. Full of their own belief and dismissive of an opposition. Nothing produces a woeful performance from wales like being favourites.

Its amazing what a mediocre team wales really are when you put on paper the players they have. That however is modern rugby. When England played the rugby wales are currently playing in the 2000's they were called boring. Its a tag that the Welsh now have. They play defence and aim for penalties never really looking to create try's.

George North is a prime example phenomenal player going forward. Probably the worst winger in defence in the 6 nations except maybe Jonny May.

I think that the penalty law should change at scrums as well. If a team is going forward and the ball is at 8's feet and they keep it in there it should only be a free kick. The waste of go forward ball in scrums while teams look for penalties is just painful. England are one of the biggest culprits.

I don't know what is going to happen Saturday I am at Twickenham to watch my mate win her 100th cap so it will be a good day whatever happens.

LOL Wales haven't a chance of losing into the bookies with ya you'll get a tasty 23/1 in places on Italy

I wouldn't mind Ireland being mediocre if it won them 3 Grand Slams in 7 years and got them within a kick of a RWC final!!!

Yeah but rugby has moved on since wales got the world cup semi. Wales haven't moved on at all.

They've won a Grand Slam and championship out of the 3 six nations tournaments played since. And the majority of the Lions 3rd test team were Welsh

they're not world beaters by any stretch but they're over-achieving for sure (and I mean that in a positive way). If they do the job on Saturday they'll have won 3 from 4 championships since RWC 2011

Wales must be strong favourites, as I imagine they will make a big score against Italy. I think England will lose to France, as we don't have the firepower in the backs to score tries against decent teams .

Ireland / Scotland , probably a narrow irish win

For the championship? Christ no, rank outsiders

You're giving France some amount of credit there calling them "decent"

Wales haven't won against Italy by more than 30 points since 2008. In that time England have beaten them twice by over 50 and a couple of 40 pointers. So not sure how people get the idea Wales will smash them from.

Has anyone else seen the stats link for this 6N?

England are the top try scorers with 11, then Italy with 6... That's a crazy stat in itself that Wales and Ireland are still in with a chance of winning.

Jack Nowell has the most line breaks and he's only played two games... still doesn't forgive how many he butchered against Scotland.

I just hope tomorrow is exciting and Wales and Ireland push England to take the game on. If England just have to win by 5-8 points I fear they'll play within themselves and stutter to a win but not by enough.

Insulting band performance of the Welsh national anthem - tempo was altogether wrong.

You'd think they'd check the appropriate pace?

Great drive and then set of phases from Italy sets up their first try.

Conversion is good

Dan Lydiate missed tackle leads to an injury for Halfpenny. Lee is off, I hope he's ok for the World Cup.

We needed to be at least 15-20pts up by half time to have any chance of the title. No prospect of that now.

Gatland is going to look an utter fool for not begging Adam Jones to prolong his International career.

Not looking good

To be fair Italy have been tremendous. I think Wales will pull away yet but they'll do very well to win by 30. They need two tries in the first ten mins tbh

whilst I agree that Jones could have steadied your set piece I think there is more to this performance than just that.

The Irish match appears to have taken quite a lot out of them

Good thinking from Rhys Webb to take the quick tap penalty and Liam Williams gets a try under the post.

It's converted for

13-21, 49mins.
