Holy hell my heart is still going 90 miles a minute. Absolutely fantastic final day of rugby, perfect ad for the sport.
Delighted to see us retain the title but massive credit to England for bringing it right to the wire. Fantastic day of rugby. |

Anyone know why Jeremy Guscott hates Ireland so much btw? ... He genuinely looked disgusted that Ireland won the championship and never has a good word to say about us.
History against us?? |

Congrats to Ireland, probably just about deserved it across the tournament.
An absolutely cracking day of rugby today though, and a special mention to France for turning up and making a game of it. Instead of chucking the towel in, they played in the way we know they can, and they might be left wondering what would have happened if they'd done that a bit earlier in the tournament. |

Time to go back to the 5 Nations.
Of course the Triple Crown would be defunct. |

Fellow Irish after that are ye a little worried about France in the world cup? We'll be favourites but if they pick the right team...
Ah fk it I just cannot wait only a few months to go!! Call me mad but Ireland are serious contenders! |

As some random pointed out on twitter "It's amazing what happens to sport when the desire to win replaces the fear of losing"

And Wales did Ireland a massive favour by putting so many points on Italy. It forced Ireland to chase after a big points total against Scotland when they might have been content to settle for a 10 or 15 point win otherwise.

Rugby seriously has the potential to be the best spectator sport, but is ruined by teams playing conservatively |

I don't think he usually does, does he? He might be 'trolling' in a way to be controversial, but I wouldn't have thought that was his style..
When I changed to the BBC after the match during a break on RTÉ he's face expression was one of absolute disgust. |

Mighty day of rugby, won a few quid on it too. Difficult to pick any faults in England getting 55 points and winning by 20. The best side, just about won overall I think. Roll on the WC though.

I am still not sure if today was a justification for the simple, 2 points for a win system - or whether it suggests that bringing in the points system used everywhere else is needed in the 6 Nations too.
Be interesting to see what the points totals would have been with it and who would have won, although the earlier games would have taken a different course had it been on place. |
