Italian set piece nonexistent! Could be a painful next 60 mins.

Bit scrappy so far.

Conditions not helping.

Well, it's a result getting rid of Cotter!! Hope he gets well soon, probably a dodgy pasty he had for lunch.

Shane giving a bit of a different aspect to the commentating, and giving the perspective of how he would see it if he were on the pitch. I do prefer him to Cotter though, mind you anyone would be better come to think of it!

Cotter has an "upset stomach" according to Jiffy

This is like a local league level match of Aussie Rules Football

Ball has been in the air so often and some of the skills have been woeful.

Jiffy going for a lie down. Not surprised after that half.
Are there any centres in this game?

Huw Llewelyn Davies , known to BBC Wales and S4C viewers is stepping in to commentate on the second half.

Have they poached him from S4C?

A very able replacement.

Do you get a bonus point for kicking the ball more times than passing it?

EIther them BBC Wales or BBC Cymru as he is bilingual. Already seen a poster on another forum suggest that he and Jiffy should dare to commentate on the second half in Welsh

Some much needed breathing space now

Huw doesn't do the commentary for tv anymore, he used to be a mainstay of Welsh rugby commentary back in the day, especially club rugby, along with David Parry-Jones.

I think they poached him from BBC Radio Cymru, as I asume he was in Italy working for radio.

Decent margin of victory but felt Howley disrupted some momentum with too many replacements late on.

Still behing England in the table having played a game more. There was an outside chance of us being top after this weekend if France shock England and Ireland or Scotland only win by a small margin.

5 tackles missed on Fofana in that try. England a little slow at the breakdown.
Why did France not have this team in their first 2 matches?!
5th time lucky

England have done well to be only a point down, this will go down to the last play like last year, hopefully with the same result.

Because France have always had a problem with coaches trying to experiment things. Sometimes it works (Michalak in the Autumn Tests was really good against Australia, who lest we forget have no discipline in their positional play and scrum) but then sometimes it doesn't and they rotate again.

Trinh-Duc and Parra are not going to win you world cups, but they know each other's games well and have now acquired the experience necessary to win tough games.
