In other news..

Watson banned for 2 weeks

While the red card was a bit harsh, going by the letter of the law he had to go.

His actions when leaving the pitch were not good. He's lucky he didn't get longer ban.

Who is he referring to?

Or just keeping the whole squad on their toes..?

Christian Wade got SIX tries today, while Ashton has been scoring tries like crazy for Sarries. England look well stocked in the wing department anyway!

The red card was a disgrace and giving him any sort of ban is a disgrace

The game is going a bit mad, it's getting to the stage you won't be able to say boo without people being outraged over it or without picking up a ban. You could not meet a cleaner, more honest player than Watson

Cracking game just started on SS2 in the Super Rugby

Hurricanes v Chiefs.

Earlier, the Sunwolves registered their first ever win in front of fanatical Japanese support
Terrific effort considering they shipped 92 points last week !

I really do try with Super Rugby (I live in Australia so easier to see than Premiership), but I just find it awful to watch. As they say on a podcast, it's man's attack meets boy's defence.

Weekend round up

Sarries beat Wasps to make their second European final in 3 years

Racing comfortably see off Leicester, despite close score line

Joe Marler decides kicking someone in the head is a good way to keep a low profile

Dragons fall short against Montpellier

Exeter book a Premiership semi final place, thanks to Bath beating Sale

England look like taking Hatley from Bath

Could they be banned from England's summer tour?

Doubt the bans will be anywhere near that long, but in theory.

I think Farrell's was yellow only really, and even that seemed harsh in-game given Poite's decision to play on after a similar one from Wasps earlier on.

Wasps sign Beale

Massive signing for us, though his salary is ridiculous.

I just don't know if he is enough to replace Charles Piutau, but looking forward to seeing how he performs.

I would imagine he will go to 12 with Miller starting at 15

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how our back row lines up next season.

Wasps are absolutely buzzing these days, definitely the most exciting team in England if not Europe heading into next year imo.

Well done to Saracens.

Got the job done and Farrell was very consistent with his kicking.

This England v Wales game seems a bit of an oddity......England wouldn't normally play the other home countries outside of competitions given that they play them every year anyway in the 6 Nations

What is this......a friendly ?........

I hope we're not going to start getting 'friendlies' all year round between the Home Countries.........it would diminish the 6 Nations

Rugby fans.........are you interested in this game ?

Apparently it's a reward for the clubs (revenue ticket sales etc) for disruption caused during World Cup.

No reward to watch it though !!

Wales are excelling in having stupid props breaking up or possession when we could do better.
