On 5live they said he thinks Yarde's defensive work is better than Jack Nowell's....

Is that true or not?

He played pretty well against New Zealand on the last tour and I think he sees him as a good winger on hard pitches.

I know Quins just had a poor season, but Yarde does well when on England duty.
I've also heard that Nowell has a bit of a knock, although then that questions why he's on the bench. I find it interesting both Lawes and Launchberry are on the bench and not Clifford... maybe Itoje would move to 6 and Haskell will come off like in the 6N?

What a first half in Auckland, two tries each and Wales have a five metre attacking scrum and the lead 15-18 with 39mins gone.

15-18 at half time to Walesand both teams going for it in attack. NZ pace with the ball in hand has looked sublime at times but we are forcing them into errors and had some great turnovers and scored two fine tries.

Wales have created a few chances Liam Williams looking good and Jamie , George and Amos up to their usual standard.

Another 40 minutes of this will be something to see, hopefully Barnes is wise to the New Zealand tricks.

Amos is looking poor in defence. Alun Wyn Jones off, maybe just for a head injury assessment and Jake Ball is on.

Great tackle from Webb stops a NZ try but it's back for a pen advantage earlier in the play and they level it up 18-18
49 minutes played.

Clever bit of skill to take out Alun Wyn with a head first and shoulder later charge from the New Zealand forward. yay Aluns back !

Amusing to see New Zealand forced back into playing Rugby again and not their version.

Another pen opportunity for Biggar
It's missed, still 18-18 51 minutes.
Alun Wyn Jones back on.

Great North break and fine tackle from two or three NZ players stops him
Another pen though from Biggar
18-21. 53mins.

We're defending well here. I don't even want to think about potential results though as it's been 53 years

I love the $ky stat captions. The very second they flash one up patting ourselves on the back for winning our lineouts we lose one. Classic.

Gatland takes off three of our better players when there's 15 minutes left and we're still in with a shout

Try for Kieran Reed and game over.
Gatland is a fool for making those substitutions.

Poor decision to disallow that try for a forward pass

I didnt like the late tacke by the New Zealand forward. I thought Barnes might be wise to their stuff.

A ten point lead has freed up the New Zealand side.

Frustrating stuff. Score doesnt show what a tough game this was for New Zealand.

Ball dropped in front of the line and the counter attack has a NZ attacking scrum in Wales 22.

Hooter has gone.

Decent display from Wales but NZ's greater number of ball carriers has made the difference. Plus Gatland made too many subs at once which might not have made a difference to the result but probably affected our defensive line and the margin of score.

Lat minute NZ try and con to make the final result

39-21

Good defence and turnover from England after a fast start from Aus.
Wallabies look ready to wind up Hartley.

Opening try for Australia through Hooper. Deserved as they've had pretty much all the possession.
10 minutes in and it's a much bigger test than any England have had under the new coach so far
Con is missed
5-0, 11minutes.

2nd try for Aus and the saving grace for England is that both cons have been missed.
England waking up a bit now

10-0 20minutes.

More Claret on show than a wine tasting in Bordeaux in this match so far. Forwards are brutal on both sides.

Good England pressure results in a pen from Farrell

10-3 21 minutes.
