Another Farrell penalty, after a potential Aus try is wrongly disallowed I feel. More like the natural line the Aussie 2nd row had taken rather than real obstruction. I don't think Burrell would've made it.

England breakaway try from Joseph

10-16

33mins.

Foley gets a pen for Aus

Wow, this is frustrating. The southern hemisphere sides are clearly so much better than the northern hemisphere sides but the southern hemisphere sides seem to have no interest in doing the simple things correctly and being patient and waiting for their opportunities.

England have a six point lead early in the second half. Farrell pulls a pen attempt wide but the pressure is kept on and Marlon Yarde gets over for a great try.
13-24 with the con to come.

47minutes.

Con is good

13-26, 48mins.

Aus getting a right beat down here. England forwards are beating them up.

2nd Michael Hooper try. They just don't give up those Aussies. When they're down to 14 men.

Foley misses the con.

18-29, 60 minutes.

Aus try and con in the 72nd minute. Another converted try away from a draw now.

Strange call from Aus to take 3 points with 2 minutes left but it's reduced the deficit to 2 points

28-32 79minutes.

Well done England, a great win that and this is already a very interesting series.

What an absolutely horrific decision. That is just unbelievable. I'm not saying that with hindsight, I said it at the time as well. There just wasn't near enough time left for the decision they made. Who on earth made that call?

Suggestions that George North is injured and out of the rest of the Wales tour.

Hope he gets a good rest and comes back firing for next season with a Lions tour at the end of it. Has looked in better form for us since the World Cup and it's time to wrap him in cotton wool for a bit.

England have really turned it round since the WC.

Hopefully this will inspire another England team playing today.

Same kind of call as was the beginning of the end for Robshaw's captaincy?

Overnight Georgia began I believe their first tour of the Pacific islands. Samoa 19-19 Georgia.

Can't see a UK broadcaster for Argentina v Italy or the two tests against France this month. is their a internet option?

Ireland win for the first time on Springbok soil. With 14 men for more than a half

Very good from England against Australia but I think Ireland have the result of the day.

Well done the men in green-superb.

Well done Ireland, good news.

One question, why do the Australians have to be quite so obnoxious to the England team? It makes victory sweeter, but seriously, it's stupid.

I really like Eddie Jones, he seems to be making the right decisions at the right time, It was quite a call moving Farrall to 12 and bringing on Ford so early in the match. But it worked, and show's Eddie's not afraid to make, what may be an unpopular decision.

As for Saturday's game and the 6N I do wonder if Brown has had his day, while his defence is good, I do wonder about his attack, all this running across the pitch may look great, but actually achieves very little, I wish he'd kick a high ball and let players who can actually use the ball to attack.

Cips is the obvious choice, but there must be something about him that annoys his team. Lets hope his time in the Saxons will get his head on straight.

Well done to England, the only team I like seeing England beat more than Australia is Scotland. I love all the "bad press" the Aussies give, it just makes victory all the more sweeter.

Cips and Brown play in different positions. Sticking Danny at fullback lessens his impact. Goode is the one who is challenging Brown for that role, even though I don't his play is much different to how you've just described Brown.

Maybe in the long term Watson will move to fullback for England, with the backs shuffling along accordingly to bring in either Slade or Daly?
