I'm not sure how much of a barometer Autumn games are for the upcoming 6 nations.
Back in 2012 when Gatland had his previous time off from Wales to prepare as coach for a Lions tour,Wales lost all four Autumn series games. This led to us being in the same World Cup group as Australia and England as the draw was based on the world rankings at that time. In the 6nations that followed, we lost the first game at home to Ireland then won the next four.Including the record win over England to take the title on points difference. On current form, the Lions party will have a majority English and Irish. The media will also be telling us that so it's bound to fire up Welsh and Scottish players in the 2017 six nations. I'm still not convinced on Rob Howley, though I don't know where Wales can really go. They don't have huge numbers of alternative players that could be picked like England had at times recently that they have been struggling. In my opinion the WRU should be looking at getting Dai Young in when Gatland goes but until then they are not good enough to consistently compete with England and Ireland when those sides are playing to their full potential. |

In all fairness that was probably the weakest Six Nations in years. Wales played admittedly very well in the England match, but in terms of the other games they were the best of a pretty bad lot.

I think Wales should go for another Southern Hemisphere coach. Dai Young is the best of the Welsh candidates but he hasn't achieved anything massive. The Euro Challenge Cup win in France against Toulon just prior to their Heineken/Challenge Cup domination was impressive but not enough to convince me he's ready for Wales.Might've done a half decent job at Wasps but he hasn't won silverware with them. International coaching will be another step up. |

I know rugby players try to play through anything (if allowed to) but this is really brave.

Not convinced by Eddie Jones' selection for the Argentina game. Rokoduguni should have kept his place and im not convinced by Daly on the wing. Surely May and Rokoduguni would be much stronger than May and Daly. Also Mike Brown seems to be on borrowed time at fullback. He isnt able to influence matches as much as he used to be. Goode played well against Fiji and was also player of the year last year in the Premiership. Its time for a change i feel. Still Eddie Jones has barely put a foot wrong so far so what do i know!

So the hopeless, if very pleasant, Allister Coetzee has picked mostly young players for the Wales game. Another 15 who take the field with no idea how to play as a team.
Wales should win this one at a canter. Coetzee is toast. Just hope not too many Bok players leave for overseas. |

England down to 14 men against Argentina after a reckless Eliot Daly challenge on the Arg number eight catching the ball whilst in the air.
England lead 6-0 after 19mins. |

16-7 to England at half time.
Will be a huge effort if they win this. Argentina basics have been poor and the ref hasn't given them much since the red card. Some great defence from England but large hints of offside which the ref didn't penalise until the last five minutes of the hall. Dan Cole will also be in the bin for the first eight or nine minutes of the second half. A very interesting test match. |

Argentina will be gutted they didnt sink the english today. They were there for the taking after going a player down so early.
Somehow england hung on and scored a good try. They played the ref well and got a lot of penalties too which helped their cause. Shows how the big influence of that home crowd lifts the england team and got them to the finish. |

Got to beat what's in front of you and well done England on that.
They would've won the last World Cup with home advantage and reffing like today after the Daly red card. Giving England pens with their players on their knees was the pinnacle of comedy from the French man in the middle. Disgraceful stamp from the Puma's player with a clear red and hopefully now a long ban. Had to be Marler involved by pulling his leg though LOL.Hope Joe wasn' t hurt bad but he just has to be involved in any controversy somehow. Now come on Ireland,Wales and France. |

Got to be the day for hospitality from French referees to the home sides as Poite is giving us a lot in Cardiff.
Wales 9-6 South Africa, 30mins Thankfully a decent ref performance in Dublin and it's Ireland 10-0 Australia, 27mins. |

Magical Ireland try is converted for a 17-0 lead late into the first half.
Wales lead 12-6 at half time. |

Wales lead 12-6 at half time. Having said that, Australia looked very flat in that half. |

Painful viewing in Cardiff. A couple of good chances where we could have scored tries wasted. Noticed a large area in the North Stand with unsold seats.
![]() Better times in Dublin it seems , sock it to 'em ireland. 17-7 at half time. If this was a Wales team with confidence, we'd have a good chance of a big score against a rugby championship side for once. Boks aren't just on the beach already. They're in the beach bar at 3am dribbling into a pint. |

Australia pull a try back right before halftime : Ireland will be kicking themselves to concede with 20 seconds left on the clock.
Having said that, Australia looked very flat in that half. Ireland should see this out now and we might as well congratulate England on an unbeaten 2016 now. Wallabies could be well beaten at Twickenham next week. |
