I can't see them appealing that, nowhere near what I thought they'd get. I imagine they feel relieved.

I heard Ian Robertson talking about this last weekend , and he was very clear that he thought it was a minor administrative error and London Welsh would be let off with a warning. Well , he got that wrong. To claim that Keats was born in Christchurch, England , when the guy had played domestic rugby in New Zealand , and I assume has a NZ accent, and then to forge a passport document is hardly a minor administrative error.

If you employ and also do not supervise, idiots like Mike Scott , then you have to take the consequenses. I accept that the penalty is harsh, a two point penalty would have been fairer .

I thought it was light.

Should have been one point per game he played at least.

Mike Scott, the former London Welsh manager has been banned from Rugby Union for life

It is difficult to know what motivated him to do such an obvious and stupid thing. The RFU certainly do not mess about with their punishments, though he can appeal. I do feel sorry for Welsh as it does look as they will be relegated

Yeah I had Ireland as comfortable winners, but with France scoring a few, then started reading back through the thread and saw Marmite Baby's post and thought nah

Just a crazy game. The ref keeps on awarding penalties for no reason. When Scotland got a 5 m scrum it was obvious that he would instantly give a pen to Wales

I think Joubert is down to be ref for one or more of the Lions tests in Oz. We'll need whoever is test captain to be right in his ear from the start down under.

Even if Wales win today, they would need to put a huge number of points past England to win the tournament?

Record number of pens for a 6 nations match.

At the moment, Wales are on +26, England on +36. So at the moment, Wales need to beat England by 6 points.

Of course, if England beat Italy comfortably, say by about 20 points for example (Wales +26, England +56), then Wales would need to beat England by 16 points or more (England would drop to +40, Wales would improve to +42)

Wales can win prettily (2005), ugly (2012), and now....

Pfft. A win's a win. +10pts too. Quite happy.

Thought Adam Jones pushed Warburton for man of the match today but glad to see Sam smiling again. Bit of competition for the media anointing Robshaw as Lions captain.

Bring on England in Cardiff.

The number of penalties awarded was quite unacceptable. It reduced the game to a farce. Every time Scotland had a scrum they were penalised. This sort of game makes Rugby Union look very stupid . I hope some sort of sanctions are taken against the ref. Surely he cannot be in charge of a Lions game .
