Very scrappy win but we'll take the points

And now bring on the old enemy next week for the championship

Another poor surface. 4 scrums, 4 collapses.
Can France release the shackles?

Clear yellow card for that trip by Ryan. But Walsh gives a ticking off??

France don't look very interested.

Mind you, watching this I know the feeling:sleep:

How do subs work? How can you be tactically subbed then cone on later if someone is injured? And this is with 8 subs anyhow.

A blood bin substitution and a front row injury can allow a previously removed player to return to the field.

Weel, Murray didn't come on in the front row so that leaves BOD with a 'blood injury' then.

His left ear was bleeding, you could see the blood at the end of the match when he took off the bandage.

Does the concussion bin apply as well? I'm not sure how widely that has been introduced yet

See this link for the rules on substitutions.

Thanks for the link.
Odd comment in the Observer's report "BOD was persuaded to come off 9 mins from hte end, having spent most of the second half limping, but as soon as France equalised he brought himself back on for the final push".

In Celtic game:
"One man most will hope not to see Down Under this year is Craig Joubert."

Gian Luca Vialle was just interviewed on BBC 1, he gave a really clear almost poetic reason for liking rugby. And beautifully said in English. Puts my Italian to shame.

Sad news for one of my favourite International players but a great boost for the Lions. Australia captain David Pocock has been ruled out of the series with a serious knee injury from a Super 15 game.

England just redefined how to murder a nailed on try. How the he'll didn't they get over the line

It's BOD. I don't think he's ever played an international where some part of him wasn't bleeding.

England really flattering to deceive in the first half

4-2 overlap too!

edit: 6-2 on the halftime review!

How did they fail to score a try from that last move??

How did England fail to score there?

Frustrating first half from an England POV.

Inverdale: 'It could be a long 40 minutes for the Italians'.

They may have only scored 3 points but they have hardly been trounced in the first half.

Inverdale can be so patronising and partisan. It is as if they assume England are still only in first gear.

Another kicking contest.

Is International rugby getting a bit tame and boring for the viewer? They certainly tackle like fury and get injured, but fail to create any inventive rugby and tries ..... and I do mean all the six nations teams in that .

Another thing ...... it is about time they stop the clock when the ball is not in play. Couple of minutes for a penalty kick, replacements on and off, forming the scrum and line outs, all in 'play time'.

They must only spend about 30 minutes of a game actually playing rugby!!

Game on.
