Terrible play, a bad try to give away, liven up England

Why a horrible kick. Fair play to Italy for nailing the England cock up so well though

Do we really want to win the Six Nations? We've been awful today.

Dallaglio: 'I suppose this game is far from over' ...... *after musing about the 'decider' against Wales next week!!

Italy playing the best running and passing rugby of the weekend.

They're very unlucky not to be on level terms or in front : England have done absolutely nothing for the last 20 or 25 minutes.

So Italy out score England in terms of tries at Twickenham - this game has raised a lot of questions. I wonder if Wales maybe favourites now?

In the words of Jose Mourinho ...... The better team lost today'.

Italy deserve much praise for that performance. England don't deserve the win.

This is a very average England team (not that it is a particularly good 6 Nations either).

Great running rugby and constant quick ball to work with from the Itlians ...... and exciting to watch.

England are fortunate to be still in with a chance of a Grand Slam. Have to fancy Wales to beat them

Agree. The fact they may win a slam shows the lack of quality in the 6n at this moment in time

Not sure I agree it's an average team, the performance against the All Blacks showed us the level they can reach. But today really was a poor performance. The Wales game is a real test of how this England team can perform under pressure.

Wonder if Rob Howley was watcing that flowing rugby from Italy today. Do hope he was, and manages to work out how they did it.

Tip to Howley ..... reopetitive and quick ball from the breakdown which should mean that Hook and Williams should play at half back. Was pleased to read in the press today that the great JPR is of the same opinion.

Not the best of performances - a bit complacent/one eye on next week maybe?

Just to divert from the six nations for a while, did anyone see the documentary about Barry John? It's on BBC I player at the moment. Very poignant to see where he is now, but some of the footage of him in his prime was extraordinary.

Probably true! But I was just clarifying why there was no breach of the laws when the scrumhalf was brought back on.

Therefore it was very different from that other occasion with Quins. I may be wrong but it seemed that the poster was implying an equivalency (I took the number of posts on the same topic as a clue!!!).

Inverdale can be so patronising and partisan. It is as if they assume England are still only in first gear.”

BIB - As soon as he said that I knew that the Italians would have the upper hand in the second half - he really is an idiot.

I have watched it, he cuts a rather lonely existence now, separated from his wife, living alone, and generally just makes conversation in the pub over a pint, then gets the bus home.

A great player of his time, would love to see how he would be able to overcome the more physical game it is now. Although his ball skills, side step and agility would be a dream to watch today.

Shame that the game was an amateur sport, and from the programme I gathered he gave up the game to see more of his familiy, and earn some money, as a media reporter.

How times have changed!
