And what a privilege that will be. Oh how blessed to be from the land of Glwyndwr, Russell and Thomas. The rolling hills, song-filled valleys and sheep-laden pastures. Yes, what a blessing to be Welsh.
But even so. England has almost as many people in the urban areas of some of its major cities, like Birmingham, than Wales has in its entire nation. And bear in mind that football is still popular in Wales, too. I guess Welsh men are just naturally more masculine, and greater physical specimens, than English men? |

Wales have an absolutely atrocious football team that have no hope of ever qualifying for a major tournament. It's a shame the "more masculine and greater physical specimens" doesn't translate into a Rugby World Cup win, isn't it? http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image..._getty_270.jpg |

Can you name a sport in which Wales outperform England on a regular basis?

Also, assuming that Bale wins this year, 3 out of the last 5 PFA player of the year trophies will have been won by a Welshman. Compared to England's 1.

Wales are probably better than England at football on a per-capita basis. If you took a region of England with a population of 3 million and selected players from only that region, the team would probably be inferior to Wales's. Certainly to the Wales teams throughout history.
Also, the best British player at the moment (Bale) is Welsh. Bale is a very good player there is no doubt about that but the fact is the Wales national football team do have a terrible qualifying record for the World Cup with one single appearance since it began in 1930. England are pretty much better at every sport than Wales and this can be backed up with plenty of evidence if needs be. I have nothing against Wales but if you look at the sporting facts they are far from even good. |

Probably because Wales have bugger all chance of winning the World Cup
I enjoy the six nations, but the potential of being crowned the best team in the world is fantastic. I could watch the 2003 final a million times and still the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. |

England fluked the 2003 WC.
And the 2015 WC is going to be won by either Wales, NZ or Australia. These are the big boys. England stand a slim chance along with France and SA, but it's cute that they think they can compete fully with the big boys like Wales and NZ. |

Nobody counts Giggs' and Bale's was won on the basis of one game. That Spurs lost incidentally.

If Wales had a population the size of England's from which to select players, we would have won every World Cup in history.
If you stick to the facts: England Rugby World Cup titles: 1 Wales Rugby World Cup titles: 0 |

We still hear about England's last football World Cup win 47 years ago at every given opportunity during tournaments, so in comparison it is recent to be fair.

I'm not a fan of football or soccer as it was dismissively called by my dad who thought it a game only fit to be played by little girls, but please don't belittle the fact we have won the championship. It is a massivly huge thing here. Look, England has its football, although Swansea isn't doing too badly, Wales has its rugby and I'm sure none of you would doubt the passion that is felt in Wales over our rugby team.
