You mean the 'big boys' Wales who lost to Argentina and Samoa five months ago? Either you're a clear WMU, or proving my point that Welsh fans are infinitely more arrogant than English ones ever are.

Even if Wales win the Grand Slam today, they still have NEVER won a World Cup!
Wales can gloat when they win a World Cup. Quote:
I am glad the English are letting the Welsh win, it seems to mean so much to them. Not sure why anybody is overly bothered about a sport where the main object is to maul as many sweaty bollocks as you can.

What a magnificent performance by Wales . I was expecting England to win in a tight game but Wales outclassed them in every department . I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't record it to enjoy watching again .

If Wales had a population the size of England's from which to select players, we would have won every World Cup in history.

Our women are still on course for the Grand Slam tomorrow, bit of a silver lining for Ireland. |

You could tell after 10/15 minutes England were never winning that game today.
England wont get very far not scoring tries, its the same old same old, last 4 games 1 dodgy try. |

England fluked the 2003 WC.
And the 2015 WC is going to be won by either Wales, NZ or Australia. These are the big boys. England stand a slim chance along with France and SA, but it's cute that they think they can compete fully with the big boys like Wales and NZ. You go and have a good night, fair play, bet the poor old sheep are dreading it later though, the welly boots will be out tonight

Shame to see such a lot of sour grapes on this forum. England are still "work in progress" but are getting better.
Bottom line is , both countries went into this match with 8 wins each from their last 9 championship games. They have been the top two in both seasons and they are going to dominate the championship between them for a few years to come. The rematch at Twickenham next season and the World Cup match in 2015 look very tasty prospects indeed. personally i hope that they both come out of that group and dump the Aussies out of the cup. For now though just happy to be champions again and frustrated that we went to sleep in that crazy first half against Ireland. |

This was a team picked by RTE in Ireland, a panel including Conor O'Shea. It only took into account players who would be fit were it on tomorrow
Healy Hibbard A. Jones Hamilton AW Jones SOB Tipuric Faletau Youngs Farrell (Sexton if fit) North BOD (capt) Tuilagi Cuthbert Halfpenny |

![]() Rugby teams (teams of any sort) vary in strength, that is to be accepted. That is why England have gone from winning a World Cup (2003) to almost winning a World Cup, to nowhere near winning a World Cup to ... almost winning a Six Nations with minimal tries. They had a low tonight, but they will get better! You hold on to that Now stop talking about sheep, I'm getting a cold sweat.

No one likes to see their team lose. However, Celtic.supporters need to look a buy beyond beating England as the be all and end all.

Well to be fair Wales have won 2 6n in a row so only right they should dominate. That and they definitely have the best players
He may be flippant in his remark but he is absolutely correct. The true acid test is beating the SH regularly. It would be foolhardy to fill the Lions with a majority of Welsh. We won the championship but we didnt get the grand slam. The GS is everything in this tournament. |

What's the New Zealand population?
I see your point but New Zealand has almost two and a half times the registered amount of players to Wales. Rugby is losing ground against football in Wales and will continue to do so with both Swansea City and more than likely Cardiff City playing in the premiership. |

Great display by our Welsh lads today, tactics were perfect and discipline was controlled.
I thought they could win it, but perhaps not by 30 -3. ![]() I was at Wembley on that sunny April day in 1999 that the BBC kept replaying, it really does not seem like 14 years ago though. I can still feel the hush that descended the stadium when Neil Jenkins took that last kick. *tension That was a good day too. ![]() Proud of Wales today, and would never have thought they would win the Championship after that first game against Ireland. |
