This made me laugh, childish I know but I am really bitter.
I have never been so disapointed in a game, I will be honest away from home I always thought it would be tough but to get beaten in the manner they did was just heartbreaking. I coach, play and live rugby.

My heart is always broken by expectation. I could accept losing to anyone but I never want to lose to Wales as they never let you forget it.

as did this

BREAKING NEWS: South Wales Police have asked for witness’s to come forward regarding a brutal crime against 15 English men on a recent visit to Cardiff who were robbed of a Grand Slam they had come to collect and also had their chariot badly vandalised during the visit to the Welsh capital?

... Apparently this heinous crime was carried out by a gang of 15 Welsh guys dressed in bright red shirts in broad daylight in front of 75,439 people who gathered around the gang attack and just stood there cheering, clapping and singing hymns and arias as if they were encouraging the gang.

A police spokesmen for the South Wales force said this “This sort of attack is just sickening……..One of the victims was a young lad called Owen Farrell who was on his first trip to Wales and has been traumatised by the whole shocking experience and to make matters even worse his father was forced to watch the entire crime from start to finish and could not lift a finger to protect his son from the sickening and relentless battering meted out by the conspicuously dressed red shirted gang”.

The police spokesman continued, “We are following a number of leads and believe this crimson shirted gang may be linked to a similar attack in Twickenham a year ago”.

The win against the All Black's was against a squad ravaged by illness playing the final match of a very long year who just wanted to go home.

What does Ashton have to do to get dropped? He has a very nice swallow dive but contributes little else, although he did enough with his boots yesterday to probably get a citing.

Mike Brown should play in his club position of full back, Goode, who is a 10 isn't good enough at 15. The likes of May and Sharples at Gloucester, Biggs at Bath and Varndell and Wade at Wasps must be wondering what they have to do to get a cap!!

England also desperately need an out-and-out Openside! For too long they have been playing a Blindside out of position, nothing new there as it has been England policy for years, but the two positions are totally different and it just doesn't work, that is why they concede so many turnovers.

This isn't sour grapes because England lost, I would have said the same if they had won, although I never thought they would win.
Back row and back 3 we do mix n match too much. I like wingers to be wingers an full backs to be full backs. I know we won a WC with Lewsey and JR who covered both at times but at that time played where they should have.

That said Brown is an outstanding club 15 but I'm not convinced cuts it internationally, although Foden should walk back into 15 when fit. I personally wouldn't have any of that England back 3 in the 4 of the 23. Wade and May are lethal and could improve. Foden too. If Gatland is considering a non cap Bentley or Robbo wild card for the lions, he could do worse than have JSD on the bench if fit.

As for back row, the problem is Robshaw is very good at captain and player but is a blindside where Croft on his day, is marginally better, but Robshaw has to play somewhere. We have 5 quality back rowers but none a top drawer number 8.

There was a similar email (pre Facebook days ) that did the rounds when Ireland inflicted a first defeat in Twickenham in 2 years on the newly crowned world champions.

This is what it should be. Banter.

Banter between Welsh and English fans. No hostility, hatred just out and out fun.

I completely agree. Wish more of my fb friends did though - I have 1 'friend' in particular who slates me everytime I praise Wales win over England etc (I'm welsh, she's English). I've said right from day one, it isn't because it's against England, it's because I was so proud that the team could ever even get within sniffing distance of the championship, never mind winning it. Lol.

Something very urgently has to be done about the refereeing of the scrums. Some of the games in the six nations were farcical. There was a strong suspicion that in the Wales Scotland game, Wales were deliberately infringing when they got in sight of the posts , knowing that at the scrum the referee would then award a penalty against Scotland and give Wales a kick at the posts.

I don't know if there is any proof of this, but it did look very suspicious .

If the Lions have South African and NZ refs the series could be just a penalty kicking fest .

Yes there was definitely some inconsistencies about the scrum refereeing. Scotland got penalised loads of times for engaging early, which they were, but was that because the referee was delaying saying "Set"? Perhaps the front row should wait until he does say "Set", but they've got five players behind them eager to get engaged.

And then five metres away from the Scottish line, Wales clearly engage early and play continues.

Things need to change, but I don't know what those changes are unfortunately.

The scrum will never be stable while they put so much emphisis on the "hit" they hit has come about because of the changes to the scrum over the years. In the past 2 packs came together as quickly as possible and the game restarted. scrums rarely collapsed and they were a lot lower than they are in these days.

The hit is the problem.

Its why at the low levels the scrum is far more stable, there isnt the power and force involved in the hit and two sides fold togehter then start pushing.

So Leigh Halfpenny has been voted Six Nations Player of the Tournament. Very well deserved. Fearless in tackles and under the high ball, reliable with the boot and all round great player.

Couldn't agree more...... What a fantastic player and well deserved winner of the championship. Quite a margin as well, he got 40% of the votes while second place, Zanni, got 11%.

Shameful that the regions and the WRU behave like children and it's the fans that lose out.

I find it pretty crazy that these situations are arising. Can't blame the players one bit... at least the WRU see a little sense when it comes to selecting a squad unlike RFU who won't select from anywhere but the English league (dearth).

The All Blacks do the same, its a way to protec their domestic competition.

You either want to play for your country or you don't.

Wales offer no protection for their domestic teams becuase they wont say "move to outside of Wales and you wont play for wales." Domestic rugby in wales will die in the end becuase no one will go an watch because all the stars have gone.

The Welsh will continue to revel in wins against England which will signal short term success for a very very bleak future for Welsh rugby.

tbf to RFU, they don't want to spend time arguing with overseas clubs about release of players (which has happened in the past with various national bodies)

Whilst I'd like to see the likes of Armitage brothers given another chance with England team, they were perfectly aware of RFU stance when they moved to France.

It's a tiny bit rich to complain about being overlooked, sort of wanting to have their cake and eat
