Interesting promotion situation to see who goes ( or stays) in the Premiership. London Welsh will meet Cornish Pirates in the play-off final, but neither have a ground that will be approved by the Premiership. Pirates will not apply to take up promotion if they win , but London Welsh are considering moving to either Oxford , The Stoop , or Brentford football ground.

I think I can safely say the the members at Welsh will not approve moving to Oxford , but the other two options are possibilities.

It does surprise me that London Welsh haven't moved before as their ground must be one of the worst in the Championship

Interesting how it affects Newcastle as well... they were always going to be favourites to bounce back with Deano at the helm... I also think Deano might have prefered a season back in the Championship to keep a low profile for a season.

If he does well with Newcastle he has to be the next England Coach in 2-4 years...

Well done Quins worthy winners of Aviva Premiership title

They were hanging on during the last 15 minutes, but eventually saw it through to the end.

Considering they were top from week 3 of the league campaign, it would be hard to argue that they weren't the best team all season

Stunning comeback from the Ospreys to take the Rabo Direct title away at Euro champs Leinster. Two tries for Shane Williams on his last Os appearance.

Thanks for the memories Ickle.

Just a day after title success , it seems the Os are in financial trouble.

The recently commissioned report into the finances of regional rugby , should see us heading towards central contracts of some form soon.

So, who else is planning a bit of an all-dayer next Saturday? Fortune has given me the day off work... the local Wetherspoons seems like a good place to go for an early morning pint while the All Blacks take on the Irish. And then onwards......

Not bad for a B-Team eh. Beating the likes of John Smit, Shane Williams, Tindall, Stephen Donald, Heymans etc.

On to Australia now. Quietly confident we can win at least 1 of the three. Which would be enough for now I think.

Also, can anyone please answer this question definitively: can an opposition player deliberately charge down a conversion kick?

yep, as long as the kicker has started his run-up the opposition can try and charge it down. Doesn't happen very often but I've seen Peter Stringer pick the ball up off the tee on a video on youtube.

Has the super 15 finished now? How do these tests fit into the scheduling if not.

I believe there's a break in the season to allow the tests to happen

unlike in northern hemisphere for autumn tests, where we're just expected to get on with it

cannot believe it, couldnt watch that last penalty but never had any doubts that laidlaw would score though.

the scottish conditions probably helped as well but defensively Scotland were brilliant.

Well done Scotland on a great victory.

Thanks for putting more pressure on Wales to beat the Aussies though

The highlight of the match was probably the unintentional flying headbutt between two Scottish players at the final whistle though.

They both should've been red carded.
