This game has fully justified Ryan Grant not being included in the first squad... and as much as it pains me to say it Rory Best as well. Shocking first half.

What an end to the South Africa v Wales game in the Junior world cup. Wales score a converted try in the last minute to go 17-18 ahead. Looks like we're holding on-yesssssssss
Well done lads ![]() Only just realised it was the semi. Final against New Zealand or England on Sunday

I can't wait for the U20 final against England. This could be a very memorable sporting occasion with all my fav teams having a big game this weekend.

I feel an all-dayer coming on. I've been on nights all week.... I finish at 11am on Friday... could do with a few bevvies on Saturday. A triple header of odd-shaped ball action could be ideal.

I'm almost looking forward to the final more than the Test.
That Jordan Williams is some player. I just hope he doesn't get lost in the too small/no position trap that so many others do. The thought of a North/Williams/Halfpenny back three is very exciting. |

Welsh under 20's showing class... Quote:
if we can beat Argentina and can beat South Africa then we can certainly beat England
I hope that quote is going on the England dressing room wall.

I hope that quote is going on the England dressing room wall. Collective self-doubt and mental fragility have been the curse of Welsh rugby at all levels for years and are probably the main reasons why we haven't picked up as many SH scalps as the other four nations over the last decade or so despite having good teams. If bullying a Springbok pack can't eliminate those doubts in these players at least at this level then nothing can. |

That sounds more to me like a "we can beat anybody" attitude rather than an "England aren't as good as Argentina and SA" one.

Ok, im going for my final picks before we find out, this isn't my team this is the team I think Gatland will pick.
There is a lot of 1) Vuinipola 2) Youngs 3) Jones 4) Wynn Jones 5) O'Connal 6) Croft 7) Warburton 8) Heaslip 9) Philips 10) Sexton 11) North 12) Tualangi 13) O'Driscol 14) Cuthburt 15) Halfpenny 16) Hibbard 17) Corbisero 18) Cole 19) Parling 20) Faluatu 21) Murrey 22) Farrel 23) Davies My only thinking that is difficult is the back row, I still think that could be any combination of the available players, Feel he will go for Croft but wouldnt be suprised to see Tupiric either way I cant see Tupiric on the bench he will either start or not be on the bench and Croft will be on the bench if he starts. Also the Midifield, Gatland likes a midifield unit, in my opinion it should Tualangi and Davies but I think O' Driscol will get the nod. Wouldnt be disapointed if Davies started as 12 but not sure that would fit the game plan. |

Looking at the Austrailia availabilty they still have available a great team, Hooper is a magnificent 7 Horwell a really great second row, Genia will run Phillips around I should imagine.
There is a lot of talk about this being a 3-0 series, I am really not sure, if the Aussies get ball they have enough flair out wide to do some damage. |

Im less confident now than I was a month ago, theres only a handful of Lions that we can rely on 100% to deliver, the captain could arguably not start, the fly half in the side more for being streets ahead of anyone else than being top class, injuries to centres, No 8 is key and hasn't played well for a while now and I could see Cuthbert or indeed any other option being targeted. I see it being 1-1 after 2 tests, Aussies probably winning this more and us the second. |

Pity as I thought he had a decent game with some errors and was better than Heaslip was Saturday but results often count. Murray did ok when he came on but over the tour not sure he's done enough to leapfrog Youngs. I think Zebo or Kearney will definitely have the last bench spot. |

With Roberts definitely out and Tualagi doubtful, anyone think Gatland might throw a curveball and put North in the centre with BOD and have Cuthbert/Maitland/Zebo as the wings.

I tend to agree as Genia was outstanding against Wales last year - the difference between the sides. I actually think Youngs would cope better.
Youngs is really, really shit. Phillips has many, many faults but he can always put on his CV that he isn't Ben Youngs. Murray isn't much better either. Genia is Godlike though (unfortunately). |
