Is Corbs Tour over,we desperately need him back at loose head next week. Losing Warburton was a give blow+ the late back row changes unsettled out defensive system. Youngs didn't take his chance well with Phillips absence. Mike should be a starter if fot for the decider. Very nervoud about that now as Oz will have huge confidence.

Again comes down to a last minute penalty miss...sadly against us.
Good effort from Halfpenny though. Didn't really seem to get going as an attacking force. |

Well I've not quite cheered up yet, that ending was a killer. Credit to the Aussies, they got the result they deserved last week.
I'm guessing there will some more changes for the final test, especially if Warburton's hamstring injury is really bad. We definitely need Corbs back, Mako was more effective as a replacement. Hopefully Manu can force his way onto the bench, as we didn't seem to have any drive in the first two test when the games were still in the mix. Roll on next week, should be a cracker

I'm still annoyed... This is on Gatland for me.
Talk me through not trying something in the last 30-20 minutes... we were making no breaks, they were working they way back into the game. Bowe chased the kicks well but didn't play "better" than Cuthbert; he should have come on... if not for Bowe then for a centre and put North at Centre and Cuthbert to wing. Again, Sexton, average, did nothing great though... bring Farrell on. Why did we go for that kick at the end... it was 20yds out of his range, keep the ball in hand; it was an indoor stadium, what was he expecting? Overall, the pack played well, we should take anything away from Australia; Hooper was manly in all aspects and looked like he was on a mission; you can see what he meant to Horwell (who probably knows he won't be playing next week). I'd stick Cuthbert back in next week, maybe bring Zebo or something a bit different on the bench... Corbs back in if he's fit, but Maku proved he was fine in the second half and Genia's constant moaning eventually was ignored. The scrum made it's point in all the second half scrums so I can't see the panic others have. I think Phillips will be back last week, Youngs played well and shipped the ball out at speed but Sexton did nothing with it. |

You cant play a defensive game against the aussies and hope to win on penalties.
It hasnt worked for wales and it only just worked last week. If you are within a score Austrailia the the one team capable of winning. F__k the defencive mind set play with some continuity and some go forward. Its a one dimensional gameplan and it has no back up. If we dont change it next week the series is dead. They left traps for North which was clever they funneled him down and dropped 2 players back to come at him from the side close to the touch line. |

Almost every time Gatland has gone down there with Wales they have failed to see out a match they were leading and Australia have comfortably taken it without having to do anything special. That was my worry all along here and nothing has changed. It's only a slip of a boot that it hasnt happened twice here and the series gone.
Both Tests we have been dire in the last 20 minutes and barely put a foot in their 22. The Brumbies game it was set up to take the 3 points in the last 10 minutes and we three it away. It happens too much to not be influenced from the bench. I do hope im wrong but I dont think a chance next week. All the momentum is with them, if they could kick they'd have been out of sight in the first test and it was only about 10 knock ons that prevented it yesterday. O'Connor and Beale cannot be that bad again. |

Big test of Gatland as Coach now...difficult to assess the performance of the three-quarters as Youngs and Sexton kicked all their ball away.., Mind set already wrong for next week with talk of a close game.. Keep the ball in hand and play them off the park, see England v Australia game in 2010 for further pointers

Phillips was fit but 'rested', think the idea was that next week we will have one fit player at least... Twice now in the tests North has come flying up out of the defensive line and it has cost us... Call me traditional but I like the wings to stay on the WING in defence and trust the collective defence rather than making do or die individual charges...

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but we paid a heavy price for not having Tipuric on the bench. A lot of people mentioned that if anything happened to Warburton we would be in big trouble and after he went off we had no one contesting the breakdown as Lydiate had tackled himself to a standstill.
My team for final test assuming all are fit. 1. Corbisiero 2. Youngs 3. A Jones 4. AW Jones 5. Gray 6. Lydiate 7. Warburton / Tipuric 8. Faletau 9. Phillips 10. Sexton 11. North 12. Roberts 13. ODriscoll 14. Bowe 15. Halfpenny 16. Hibbard 17. Vunipola 18. Grant 19. Evans 20. Tipuric 21. Murray 22. Tualagi 23. Cuthbert Got to have attacking options on the bench and if Warburton is unfit then bring in Croft or OBrien to the bench. Heaslip for me was anonymous in the last test, Youngs played well but we are going to need extra physicality which Phillips and Murray gave plus bringing Roberts in and Tualagi on the bench for later in the game. Harsh on J Davies I just cannot see Gatland dropping BOD who will most likely captain in SW is not fit |

[quote=Marmite Baby;66723429]I thought he played ok & a lot better than Phillips in the first test. Not his fault the scrum was in a mess thus delaying his put-in. Having said that, I'd start with Connor Murray who impressed when he came on.[/QUOTED]
Phillips had a fair bit of slow ball last week. By the time he went off yesterday,Youngs was introducing the extra step before assing at the breakdown.Which Phillips gets due criticism for. |

England Women lost to Russia in their Pool which thus gave them NZ in the Quarters; Monsoon conditions means the Men's Final is a lottery now
![]() Yeah women losing to Russia was such a cock up. 7s is just a brutal format. One mistake and you are out. |

The kicking at the start of the second half was awful it was worse than the 15's game. |

Confirmed Sam Warburton is out of the third test. He has to go with Tipuric now.

I hope they go with Tipuric... he seems afflicted by the "Neil Back" syndrome where everyone thinks he's too small to be a Test level openside; it took England 3 years to figure that out and he went on to become one of the best in the world... hope Lions/Wales don't make that mistake.
Bigger than hooper. If he goes with Tipuric we can win the last test and much as I know people love Warburton I think it is a blessing in disguise. |

Tipuric is better than Warburton anyway. All of Wales knows that, and Shane Williams would tell you he could play centre as well. Can't believe some people want O Brien to play
![]() With SW out though it makes BOD a guaranteed starter. |
