Doesn't really work, I love a bit of rugby banter. I can take it and give it.

As you say though, they can be liable to a hammering, like Wales did last year, however I really admired them in the 6n digging out dirty wins v ourselves and Italy, and sure even on sat there

Yeah Wales should take home 6n and maybe even GS honours in March, but I wouldn't ever write off France. Too enigmatic to win 5 games though. As for our own chances, we have a poor record in Paris so not holding out much hope there. We head to Twickenham with a huge point to prove but home advantage could be huge. Wales were as bad as I've ever seen them in the opening 40 against us this year and when they found their rhythm we couldn't really live with them. Luckily we held on, but I don't look forward to it next year, granted we're at home

Think we could well win all our autumn games, NZ will be sure to have their big guns all out for the England game to dish out some revenge meaning they might field a second string against us! We should beat Aus, but they could be a dangerous animal with nothing really expected of them...”

I am off to Ireland this weekend for a big party so hoping to find somewhere to watch the games.

*Bakkies Botha and heir apparent 'enforcer Eben Etzebeth in the same team? Best of luck to the opposition!

* I wonder if that means it is not over for a similiarly aged Nick Easter?

I still love the fact that when everyone is fit two out of AWJ, Evans, Bradley, Charteris, Warburton, Lydiate, Tipuric and Ryan Jones won't make the 23.

Compare that to the days when we were picking players like Derwyn Jones or Nathan Budgett and it shows how far we've come.

A little bit of that sort of depth at 3, 8 and 9 wouldn't go amiss though.

Oh no (Springbok supporter here), Meyer's reverting to his old type. No Willie le Roux. Expect lots of aimless kicking and most points from penalties.

I wanted to see the Boks play Scotland or Wales, but got a far more reasonably priced package to Paris to see them play France. Never been to the Stade de France and am sitting way up high (cheapest seats). Any tips on getting there from central Paris, places near the ground etc? cheers

last time I was in Paris for rugby I stayed at Ibis hotel that's just round the corner from Gare du Nord.

Travel from GdN is only one stop using Line D, but it will be packed though on match day

so Marler starts ahead of Corbs, probably right decision due to lack of match practice

Wade and Yarde both miss out due to injury

Personally I'll pick Corbisiero over Marler even if Corbs only had one leg and he was wearing a roller skate on it.

In fact, I'd almost consider picking Spencer John ahead of Marler and I used to pick my Nan ahead of him.

Marler isn't that bad at scrummaging, so he's worth of his place in the team.

However he does like a scrap......

So the end of the day Europe results
Georgia 19-15 Canada
Italy 20-50 Australia
England 31-12 Argentina
Scotland 42-17 Japan
Portugal 13-36 Fiji
Romania 19-18 Tonga
Wales 15-24 South Africa
Ireland 40-9 Samoa
France 19-26 New Zealand
Chile 3-26 Spain

Well done to the IRB for at last getting lesser countries in Europe, what I see they call Non High Performance Teams with Word Cup Experience playing High Performance Teams. Seems they also have Earmarked Germany as a Development Team (they beat Poland today).

Same old from Wales in the Autumn against the SH today. Yes we had three go off injured but no excuses, the boks won it at the breakdown and with their far more accurate kicking game.

The less I say about Alain Rolland the better, again we can't blame the ref for the loss but he often manages to create very frustrating games to watch with his poor officiating.

Australia have had a big win over Italy today but I still think we can take them in the last game of our Autumn series.

I might be simplistic here but why do not some of the northern hemisphere employ southern hemisphere backs coaches?! Wales were stagnant and pedestrian - southern hemisphere teams are clinical and seem to have better ball handling.

Unfair on Rolland I feel - he does create frustrating games through being picky but he is consistently correct. The du Preez try was his only major mistake, and I feel harsh blaming him for that as he should have help on it.

He also let the crowd influence him with that Louw yellow card, but I'd be intrigued to know why you thought he was poor

I have no idea why we feel aimless kicks into the air with no-one even intending to chase them is the way to go against Southern Hemisphere teams. Felt sorry for George North, who tried something every time he had the ball only to look up and see no support with him. Only so much one man can do!

Gutted Jonathan Davies had to go off, he looked like he was having one of his better games!

Priestland was.... not good. He seems to go into a blind panic and was a bit/a lot at fault for the du Preez "try". I know it wasn't a try but anyone here who has ever played rugby at any level knows that if there's a bouncing ball you dive on it. He utterly bricked it.

Basically we spent a lot of time running near our try-line looking very confused that we had the ball and not having a clue what to do next. No idea what happens to us when we play SH sides!

(I v.much enjoyed the NZ/France game afterwards though!)

Question about the Louw yellow card - if the ref lets the play continue for 5 odd minutes and the Boks score a try, but then sees that a yellow card offence was committed, what happens to the try?
