So the Aussie player released that pass when he was behind the 5 metre line ....the player receiving the pass picked it up from his toes within the 5 metre line.
HOW is that not a forward pass? Anyone??? |

So long as the ball is passed back, it doesn't matter if the momentum carries the ball forward, it is not deemed a forward pass.

The commentators mentioned that the ref goes by the motion of his hands and it looked lateral. It won't be the deciding score in this game so doesn't matter

It's the speed of the ball and what they do with it genia gets to the ball moves it it's then moved at least two passes where there are not so many numbers and they can get quick ball again.
In reverse Phillips goes around looking for cheep shots and giving slow ball to the forward who tak It straight back in. Well worked try finished by North and their may be a late flourish. 23-30, 62mins. |

A victory for Australia ..... if Wayne Barnes never refs a Welsh match again, it will be too soon.

The SH countries just seem to have that bit more composure at the crucial moments particularly at seeing out the last couple of minutes of a game.

That wasn't Wayne Barnes fault.

I have never understood the whole "passed sideways but momentum took it forward" argument. Momentum can't change the direction of a pass - if momentum took it forward, it's because it was passed forward!
That said, I'm not making excuses. Wales were flattered by the scoreline, really. Aussies looked dangerous every time they got the ball in hand. |

Great game but why can't Wales ever seem to get the better of the best of the Southern Hemisphere? They are a better team than England, but England seem to be performing better again the big three.

Is there a single, decent international pitch? If so, where is it? |

almost every pass made goes forward as the speed the player is travelling.

Another great game for a neutral last night... for you guys the gap is closing at a pleasing rate but surely a win next autumn against one of them is vital in the build up to 2015? |
