Dull. Most exciting thing was ref giving a free kick for a crooked feed.
Italy very good at recycling, unfortunately couldn't get past the French 10m line. |

While it won't be easy - watching France play here in Paris Ireland certainly won't be fearing the Stade de France.

2 soft tries and the game turns, surely the Welsh and Irish defence will be less charitable in due course

14 point try there, Italy should have scored, France intercept and go the length

Funnily enough in a game of two reds and a yellow, the ref has been VERY lenient on repeated French infringement in their own 22

Italy deserve credit for playing hard right up to the whistle.
Those red cards and the yellow seemed right to me : but it was very unusual for the ref to ask for telly replay to see who did the dirty deeds. I hope that catches on. |

How did Vunipola get to play for England?
Interestingly Mako Vunipola : Born In New Zealand plays for England brother of Billy Vunipola : Born in Austrailia plays for England cousin of Taulupe Faletau : Born in Tonga plays for Wales.. |

Some good rugby at the weekend. Makes for an interesting few weeks coming up. Ireland by far looked the best and the Twickenham game now is massive.
They are both playing a similar game so it could either be the most boring game of rugby ever or the most entertaining. Wales got found out which was bound to happen with their game plan and they will want to get some revenge. When is gatland going to drop Mike Phillips he is an utter liability and his head twist on the Irish player at a ruck should be cited. It was very dangerous. He is an odious human being. I wouldn't mind it coming down to a Grand Slam decider between France and Ireland. |

Philips has got 'form' off the field as well. England should have put at least 15 points more on a very poor Scottish side, but they do have the only away win so far and I think they will edge the Irish at Twickenham.

Difficult to say unless you know him in real life, off the field.

I'm quite surprised JP Doyle was a touch judge in the Wales v Ireland game.

I've never had less respect for a Welsh international than I do for him. Even Henson, and that's saying something... |

I give the Welsh a lot of stick (and that isn't going to change) but this is good news. Tough competitor and puts some perspective on things. |

Surprised Denton is dropped to the bench for Italy. I thought he was their best player in the last 2 games (well, least worst). Wooden spoon beckons for Scotland.

Although I'm hardly in a position to worry about other teams while Wales have one plan and one plan only I'm hoping we've had chance to sort ourselves out after the week's break.

Dunno about that, North at outside centre? Well, saves himself cutting off the wing I guess. Sensibly dropped Phillips.
