I reckon that's quite a bit of USER (but as yet none technical) experience. Of course I'm aware that the EPG is provided by Freesat.
Why Sky and Freesat? because at the time Freesat was offering 2 room installation and dish for a one off charge of £95 (through a reseller staff offer) far cheaper than having extra Sky points for the kids bedrooms...
My personal view is that the Sky EPG is better than Freesat's.but of course that will not stop me using it!
.
I just wondered if any anorak/techie knew of a hidden way of changing the colours.
If your reply is typical of what I might receive I'll not use the forum again.

Not sure what you are objecting too here, Freesat boxes have to conform to the freesat specification for the epg. If you object to this you need to contact Freesat. If you don't wan't the truth feel free to ask the same question anywhere you want to. You will get the same answer.
So any forum giving you an answer you don't wan't even though it's correct you won't use
If there is no other answer, what do expect ?
Should I have said something different apart from the truth
Pretty incredible, just because you get an answer you don't wan't you blame the forum
Basically do not blame the messenger
I will repeat the message so you might understand it
The Freesat epg colour scheme is determined by Freesat, it's transmitted in full from the Eutelsat 28A freesat home transponder and also from every channel on the Freesat epg.
You can change the transparency of the epg overlay but not the colours.
There are lots of way of adding addiitional capabality to Humax freesat boxes, changing the Freesat epg is not one of them.
