Best ever standard for finalists ?

I think their overall standard is a bit better than last year, with Sam, Laura and Chloe, which was itself probably the best standard up until then. Quite often we had one outstanding finalist who became the winner; sometimes, two very good finalists and one not-so-good: but three great finalists, we don't have too often.

If you are right, then it is an extremely sad indictment of what ITV can get away with in prime time. Come on great British viewing public - show that you won't accept any more of this Z-lister tosh

But those four didn't skate in the same final. The reference is to the standard of finalists in a given year, which I think is correct - you could hardly call Zaraah Abrahams, Kieron Richardson or even Chloe Madeley as good as any of the three we're now left with.

I'm all for a close final two but having a close final three is even more fun!

I think it is a really great final. The voting is wide open, so split and it really will be down to whoever performs best on the night...which will make a great competition final.

The other years there has always been 1 that has shone through....this year, all 3 shine and are worthy of their place.
